**Q: Using tile on a countertop, cheesy or no?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Could I use this tile on a countertop? Do you think it would hold up and look nice? I found this great tile which looks like salvaged wood.

A: Tile countertops create a food contact area that is difficult to sanitize. I have done them in the past but very small seams with un sanded grout with epoxy or silicone in place of grout. Edges are something to plan out carefully.
