> We hired Eleek to provide custom lighting for interior as well as exterior. They aslo provide unit signage, decorative exterior plates, overflow scuppers and custom door hardware. The project consisted of a 180 unit 15 story condo tower in the Pearl District in Portland oregon named the Elizabeth. The project developer was interested in creating a high quality environment that allowed for numerious custom desgin opportunities. Eleek came through on time and delievered some very well crafted solutions. Working together, we developed our preliminary desisgn ideas into working models and then final production pieces.

> I have worked with Sattie and Eleek on a number of different projects over the last 7 years. They take true pride in what they do from the very first concept drawing all the way through the manufacturing process and the final installation. Their work is beautiful, service is great, and they are wonderful to work with.
> I like that they can work with you on a variety of types, styles, and sizes of projects, from a few simple sconces to a lot larger scale custom installations.
> I have always been happy with the final results and my clients love the products they have received.
> If you are in the market for a custom light fixture, sink or piece of hardware, I would highly recommend Eleek. You can also visit their showroom if you are in the area to see for yourself the quality of work and different product examples they have completed over the years.

**Comment from S Clark:**

> Eleek helped design unique, stylish and high quality new light fixtures for our
> Japanese/Tuscan inspired home, to give our home an amazing look. People have never seen anything like them and everyone loves all of them. They also love the hardware on our cabinet drawers. As an interior designer, it was so good to work with Sattie and Eric to come up with the very best lighting solutions. Their design and technical skills are excellent and they are wonderful to work with. You can see their work all around Portland and the fact that they use recycled material for their products makes them the ideal Portland manufacturer.

## Community Q&A

**Q: THIS SINK** *(in Photo Questions)*

DO YOU KNOW THE SUPPLIER?

A: Eleek, Inc. makes this sink called Zazen from recycled cast aluminum or bronze. See all of Eleek's cast metal sinks at http://www.eleekinc.com/sinks/ . For pricing info, contact us at info@eleekinc.com.

**Q: what are the dimensions?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi Gubash. The dimensions of this sink are H: 9 3/8″ \| W: 37 1/8″ \| D: 18 1/4″ \| Drain diameter: 3 1/2″ -- Hope that helps!

**Q: Please give me more information about this light fixture and who is the distributor for Austin Texas** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi Katz. Thanks for your interest in this bollard. We do not make it as one of our regular lamps; however, we can accommodate custom orders. We deal with the Austin market directly, and would be happy to speak with you regarding a quote. The fixture is made from 100% recycled 70% post-consumer aluminum with a powdercoat finish. The powdercoat comes in many colors and textures. Lamping can be incandescent, fluorescent, or ultra efficient LED. We would be happy to answer any additional questions about the fixture here, or if you wish to obtain a quote, please contact Linda at linda@eleekinc.com. Thanks!

**Q: Help with material selection for front of jacuzzi.** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I need some input on what material to use for the front of my jacuzzi. The same glass tile that is in the border on the floor will cover the center back wall with staggered dark shelves. I am thinking more marble, but we have considered reclaimed wood, which may go against the look we are going for. Still working on floor tiles and marble trim. Appreciate any input.

A: ...Apologies that the black patina chip is so small in the photo.

**Q: Help on uba-tuba granite kitchen** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We are renovating our kitchen and selected uba-tuba granite counterops. We are painting our cabinets and having a local cabinetmaker make new doors. What color would you recommend for the cabinets and walls? I'm looking for a warm look. Kitchen is basic with stainless appliances. Kitchen tile has some warm tones to it.

A: Not sure if this would fit your custom cabinet door style, but here are some ideas for cabinet hardware.

**Q: brushed nickel or oiled bronze** *(in Design Dilemma)*

My daughter is buying a house that is nearing completion. She has to pick the hardware asap. She wants continuity, but is unsure if she should go with oiled bronze or brushed nickel. So many photos are showing the nickel now. We're on the fence about this decision. The kitchen granite is Giallo Light Ornamental with cream glazed cabinets.
Should light fixtures match the hardware also? It shouldn't be so complicated, but it's a big investment and she wants no regrets.

A: Yeah, totally. The "safest" approach, conjuring the design-spirit of the common denominator, is a bland but inevitable consideration--but if your design is sound, it won't look "wrong" even if that particular style happens to be on the skids the particular season the house goes on the market. Just thoughts. Good luck!
