> We had a great experience with Friedges who did a two-part backyard renovation for us.  We installed a large retaining wall, two patios, an outdoor gas fireplace, and a built-in bar/kitchen.  They also replaced all of our rock/woodchips for our whole property and laid new sod.  They were very easy to work with and responded to our ideas very well.

> My first contact with Friedges was professional, timely, and informative.  The estimate they gave me was to remove and replace shrubs around our pool area. It included moving a large quantity of rock.  They gave me 3 options and I felt no pressure to choose their company or any of the options.  I felt for the amount of work, the estimate was more than fair.  Probably lower than I expected.  They even did a few things that made the area look even better, but wasn't in the contract and they didn't charge more for the extra work. The staff was friendly, respectful and helpful.  They always cleaned up before leaving for the day and they kept the mess to a minimum.  The plants were healthy and full and we love the way the area turned out.  The best part was that they whole project was finished way ahead of schedule.  There is no questions I will use them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a quality landscaping company.

## Community Q&A

**Q: do the steps keep their color?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Are these the Rosetta steps by Lampus company?  if so have they retained their color?  We are looking at these, but someone told us they fade over time.  Thank you!

A: They are made by Rochester Concrete company in Rochester Minnesota, but I know they are licensed by different companies and made elsewhere as well.  We have been using them for about 3 years with no issues.  It wouldn't hurt to apply a natural sealer to them to protect them if you have concerns.
