> Things to look out for when choosing a remodel company
> I was so excited to get started on our kitchen remodel. First it was just going to be the kitchen but turned out being our entire main floor plus some. The demo went amazing hardly any dust and things seemed to be running along great. I thought people always say this is horrible to live through, I was glad I felt like it was not going to be that way. Until things started slipping through the cracks, communication was a problem. Pretty soon I found myself making calls to follow up on what is next. You never knew if anyone was coming back the next day because scheduling was done the night before. Then things went to frustrating to worse, I am a reasonable person and know there will be bumps along the way. The way things were heading were not acceptable, the designer was fired. I started to work with Andrew the office manager/designer and thought things would be better, but soon he kept giving me the round around and could never give me a straight answer on questions I had or follow ups. There was a lot of punch list stuff left to do and months went by with no one coming. I can’t even tell you how many times I had to follow up with Century Kitchens and Bath and got nowhere. Next I tried calling the Owner Steve he said he will be on site to make sure the job got done and done right. Well that was just as bad, everything he touched I had to have someone else come in behind him and fix his work. I had to point obvious stuff to him. Each time he was here he left his 87yr old father with dementia in the car with no heat, for hours. Just think wow if this is how he treats his father now wonder this job has gone to crap. So since this job started in July 2021 and still not done, we have had to do punch list stuff I had asked over and over to be completed and was not. A big hang up was some cabinet fronts had to be replaced which took 5 months to get, now I know things are taking a while but I believe they were never ordered by conversations I have had with Andrew. Finally got them after they dropped off at front door and we are installing well because no one ever follow up to install or come back to. Turns out they are not correct but we have to make due. But in the end Century Kitchens and Bath have walked away from this job unfinished. I would say the construction team was great and I do love my kitchen but make me sad too of all the trouble I have had. My advice is always check references verbally about how company did start to finish. And don’t pay all the big money toward the front and middle spread it out more at the end. We spent over 50K on the remodel and it is horrible that Century Kitchens and Bath have walked away, there is no more money to be made here. All they care about is going where the money is…. I hope this never has to happen to anyone else…..And never ever ever use Century Kitchens and Bath….ever

> We spent over $40k plus premium materials fully renovating our master bathroom. We later discovered the electrical was not upgraded for our shower to properly function. This was a $1,300 fix that Steve refused to make right. We took him to court, won a judgement and are still being strung out. It’s about the principal and ethics as to why I write this review, I wouldn’t want another person spending hard earned money to a company that doesn’t follow through on their contracts and word.

> I have used Century Kitchens for several projects including my kitchen and my basement. After a flood in my basement, it was a no-brainer to bring in Steve and his team to restore my husband's "man cave" to its original glory. The company is very professional and accommodating. I had a time deadline with company coming to town and they rearranged their schedule to get it done in time. I highly recommend them!

STEVE GIVES YOU EVERYTHING HE PROMISES AND MORE . HE DOES NOT STOP UNTIL YOU ARE BOTH HAPPY. JOHN IS AWESOME ALSO AND CAN DO ANYTHING. I WOULD NEVER HIRE ANY ONE ELSE. TERRY IN HAWTHORN WOODS

> I hired Century Kitchens to complete renovate my 1970's kitchen. From the time that I walked into their showroom, I was treated with a friendly respect. My designer, Randi Straley, was very knowledgeable, and helpful to me in in my decisions. She kept me informed of the progress of the project. I felt that she was completely with me throughout the project. Her professionalism and kindness made this project very enjoyable instead of stressful.

> The workers were very professional as well. They were always on time and the quality of their work was excellent. They were always willing to make any changes that I wanted and did it in a timely manner. They were friendly and I felt very comfortable having them working in my home.

> Century did a complete renovation of our kitchen. We live in a condo and this is a galley kitchen. We had seen a similar upgrade they did and decided on Century based on what we saw and recommendation from the other client.
> Mary at Century helped in design and selection. Her recommendations were extremely helpful. I had a budget in mind but didn't discuss it until we got the estimate from Century. There budget number was within my original estimate. Work did not start until all the material (cabinets, etc.) was in their warehouse. This avoided any unnecessary delays. Work started on our agreed start date. Someone worked every day during construction and Century coordinated the schedule very well.
> They estimated between 4-6 weeks and work was completed at exactly 5 weeks from start.
> Century was on-time and on budget.
> We're very pleased with the results. I believe the craftsmanship is excellent. Century was responsive and attentive to us as customers.
> I would highly recommend Century Kitchens & Bath.

> Love working with Mary Leben and Century Kitchens & Bath! The cabinet installation work was completed on time and looks great. Mary helped us select the perfect cabinets and counter top for our project. Could not have done this without Mary. Thank you for making our home beautiful; look forward to working with you again.

> The design work offered by Randy was wonderful. She was aspirational and pragmatic at the same time. She understood our tastes and guided us to an awesome kitchen, masterbath and even equal treatment to our laundry room.

**★★★★ — Marian Wormser, Dec. 2014**

> Century Kitchens & Bath remodeled our kitchen in the spring of 2014. The kitchen was gutted to the studs. We added recessed lighting, new cabinetry, new countertops, pendant lighting and an island. Working with Randi Straley was a pleasure. She was on top of every detail and was quick to respond to any issues that came up. We are so happy with how it turned out.

> We have a 900sf home that we contracted to have a complete remodel with Randi Straley and Century Kitchen and Bath in Antioch IL. All of our expectations have been met. Our job went down to the brick/studs and completely remodel.
> We could not be more pleased!!! We highly recommend Randi and Century Kitchen and Bath.

## Community Q&A

**Q: The countertops - is that quartz? what is the color/pattern?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: We regret not seeing this question when it was posted. The pattern is unknown at this time, it was a few unique slabs from a private distributor.

**Q: What color is the granite island?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The granite was chosen at an outside vendor. I will contact the client for confirmation of name of granite.
