In my opinion do not ever buy Perlick! I have two under counter refrigerators in a bar, a third in an upstairs sitting room off the bedroom and a fourth that’s a dual zone wine refrigerator in our butler pantry. I’ve already had two that I’ve had to have expensive repairs due to leaking refrigerant. Now all four have slowly broken over the last few months. None of them are keeping temperature and slowly they’re warming up overtime to the point I’ve just shut them off. So angry to have to call technician out to evaluate and they are likely gonna tell me the same thing that refrigerant is leaking again and will be expensive to replace. These do not seem to be well made. This happened after 3 years on a fridge that cost -$3000. Then in 2024, six years later, this happens again, call out for service and he cleared Freon system and welded new axis valve. They said the parts would be covered under my warranty and that I would pay for labor only. I called every Service company they gave me in my area and only one of their recommended repair companies would come out and when he did he said my compressor and evaporator was shot and wasn't worth fixing. When I called Perlick back and asked them to try and find me a tech who would come out they said that they couldn't help me. what good is a warranty if the manufacturer doesn't have a repair tech to service the Appliance? I demanded a replacement and was told that that was not an option. WHAT A JOKE! I chose two c-series wine fridges expressly for their supposed quiet functioning. The rep assured me they were only 41 decibels when operating, a claim made in Perlicks advertising materials. That is an outright lie. I complained and they had a service rep contact me. He scoffed at that claim saying perhaps the clanging compressor was 41 decibels but the compressor fans are way louder and there’s no way to adjust that. This brand is terrible. Within weeks of plugging it in and using it the unit stopped working. Turns out the condenser coils had frozen. The repair technician contacted Perlick and was told that the customer must have left it open. This happened again, after being very careful to shut it each time it was used, and then I started reading reviews. Turns out that this is a very common problem. The freezer drawers do not close and form a seal adequately. I only store things like nuts or other product in it because it is so prone to problem. Other have replaced the unit with a SubZero because they are so disgusted. I am heading that was shortly. I am sure the motor mechanical parts may be fine but the design it inadequate. The worst appliance I have ever purchased at any price. If I could give it less than 1 star I would have.
