## Community Q&A

**Q: Best LED for backlight translucent counters, quartzite?** *(in Lighting)*

I am looking for the easiest-to-install LED uplight/backlight into the top of the new lower cabinets before the countertop is installed. I will give it to the electrician to install. I'd like them to work on a switch with a dimmer but I'd be ok with a remote.   What is the best product for this?  One contractor said to use the LED strip as they get affixed (stapled?) into the sides of the open cabinet top.  I have counter that is 9' long with three, 36" cabinets under it. I guess they put holes between the cabinets to run the strip through? I'm guessing. Counter is only 12" deep so I don't think the dark spots will be a big deal using strips instead of panels.  

Would this be the right strip? Safe low voltage in the cabinet and under the counter?

no one's asked this one! I love the black designs on wall. Are they cling ons or are they painted on? if cling ons where did you purchase them. I've browsed everywhere for them with no luck. Thanks.

A: The drapery panels look like they are attached to a cornice board.  The scrolls are on fabric that covers the cornice.
