The project was completed about three years ago, and I am writing this review now because each day I am reminded of the disappointing quality. While the overall aesthetic is pleasing, the experience was marred by several quality and service issues to which future clients should be aware. > Cabinetry Quality: > The custom cabinets look nice from a distance, but nearly 90% of the face frame joints have separated, and paint has cracked at the seams—issues that significantly detract from the joy of a new kitchen. Abraham did respond within the one-year warranty, but it took about three months for his team to remove and “repair” the cabinets. They were returned six weeks later, and less than a year after that, the same problems reappeared. During the reinstallation, plastic tape used on our hardwood floors stripped the stain in several visible areas. > When I raised the issue again, Abraham suggested we could discuss it when he came to talk about a potential bathroom remodel—disappointing, as it implied that resolution was tied to future business. > Plumbing Issues: > A subcontracted plumber made changes in the basement to support the main level renovation. Unfortunately, this led to a late-night pipe burst, resulting in a $30,000 insurance claim. The plumber denied responsibility, claiming the failure occurred about a foot from his work. Thankfully, the incident didn’t happen while we were asleep. A year later, we discovered a leak under the kitchen sink due to improperly secured washers. > Contract & Communication: > The contract clearly outlined payment dates, yet I received a text from Abraham requesting early payment because he “had to pay the guys.” This felt unprofessional and inconsistent with the agreed terms. Communication was fair at best. I commend Abraham for his entrepreneurial spirit however he was spread so thin that I constantly felt communication to /from, rushed and incomplete. > Other Concerns: > His crew used our basement bathroom to clean paint brushes, leaving scratches on the porcelain sink. > Final Thoughts: > While the design vision was executed with visual appeal, the craftsmanship and accountability fell short. Abraham inheirited my disaster of a project which consisted of a very large kitchen, a bar in our den and a bathroom vanity. Our first cabinet company took 10 MONTHS and left us with only the cabinet boxes ( no doors, no drawers, no shelves, no trim, etc) with a horrible finish and stole the $25,000 we paid them. Beauti Faux finishes had to tent off my kitchen and den to create a spray booth so that they could sand, stain and laquer the cabinet boxes because the wood was so rough you couldn't even wipe it with a cloth because the wood would literally snag the cloth! The attention to detail paid to my project by everyone involved is beyond anything I've ever experienced. The companys goal was to provide me with the most beautiful cabinetry possible and that's exactly what i received. If something was needed, they just did it and they didn't charge me any extra. My project with Beauti Faux Finishes took 11 days. 3 days for the initial sanding, staining and laquer and the other 8 days to install all the doors, drawers, trim, etc. and for all 11 days his crewed showed up completely on time. i mean to the minute! And that was something i greatly appreciated. Another thing i loved about working with this company is that they booked my time out so that mine was the ONLY project they were working on. Also, Abraham wanted to make sure i was completely satisfied with my cabinets and things i didn't even notice, he noticed, and had his carpenters fix. After my horrible experience with our first cabinet makers, my husband and i were completely gun shy about having to put our trust in someone else, but we couldn't have made a better decision than to go with Beauti Faux Finishes.
