I had a specific style in mind and made rough sketches. The ceiling also needed to be repaired. Jon made two short visits to the house to hash out the details (size, style, wood type, staining and finish) of the beam layout and construction. He struck a perfect balance between respecting my own vision and making suggestions/offering considerations about each detail based on cost and style. His team arrived only a day later than originally planned. They allowed me to do the parts of the job that I could, like taking down drywall and re-painting. They worked their schedules around my father who was doing the electrical re-wiring. This really reduced my final bill. They contracted another specialist to do help with the new drywall. The beams went up a within a week of starting the project. The craftsmanship is impeccable, from the beams' adzed texture and stain, to their perfect fit and small peg details. I doubt I could find a better combination of affordable high quality craftsmanship/expertise, friendliness, professionalism, timeliness, and value.
