A: Thank Theresa, the picture is a presentation of our lighting...so I don’t really know where the tiling came from or what tile it is. It was a Toronto project, so in all likelihood it was a tile distributor in the north Toronto area. Jay. **Q: how to light a living area with LED tracklights** *(in Design Dilemma)* I want to use LED spotlights and tracklights in my living room. I am nervous about it becoming too bright. ideally, can these be used with dimmers? if not, what wattage is idea? A: Dimmer are your best bet...but definitely take into consideration the compatibility with the track, heads and lamps that you will be using. On a more technical note, what rooms are you looking to light and for what type of usage? These are critical elements to consider when you are trying to select a type of lighting. **Q: Lights are day lights or yellow lights?** *(in Product Questions)* A: Nicolas, based on the product description calling for 5 x 50Watt lamps...I am very certain that these halogen lamps will dim to warm (2700-3000 degrees K), but at full intensity will be natural white emission which is 3500-4000 degrees K. It was conceived as a children's/guest bathroom. The designer did a great job with the plan, and we were able to light it easily and effectively for a very reasonable cost. What should I do** *(in Design Dilemma)* I recently commissioned an artist to create one of his signature pieces for my study. I told him to use more yellows and whites so that I could coordinate it with my sofa. There is something not quite right with it, or perhaps I'm over thinking this and should be great! I feel bad if I don't accept his final piece of art. On the flip side, it isn't entirely bad and I guess I could live with it not being how I imagined and appreciate handmade artwork. A: You need to light this piece of art properly to make it pop, a simple MR16 (Halogen or LED, either will work) with natural white emission (4000K) will suffice for that. None of the locations pictured have adequate light currently, so your would need to look at a monopoint or potlight install, and then have a lighting expert use some filter lenses to stretch the light so it lights just the artwork and creates a little shadow beyond the frame.
