He earned a Bachelors degree in media arts studying photography at the University of South Carolina. Then, returning to Charleston, he served as an apprentice to 20+ photographers from around the country, some whom worked for Architectural Digest. Within a few years, Tripp had worked with more than twenty photographers worldwide and had initiated a freelance career of his own. Through these experiences, he developed a passion for architectural photography. By 1997, Tripp began shooting full-time, crafting expressive and powerful images for architects, builders, interior designers, developers, residential and commercial property owners, and leading real estate companies.
