I just completed a whole home renovation. Mancuso held my hand and guided me through the entire process. Matthew was my first point of contact, helping me through the initial phase and creating the project timeline. Next, Liz, the designer, helped me to create and design the home of my dreams. She had great suggestions and ideas. She also listened to me about what I wanted and helped to make it possible. Luke, the project manager, was a real pro. His leadership and drive kept the project on schedule, even when there were a few unforeseen hiccups. I had weekly Friday conference calls with him throughout the construction phase of the project. Those calls covered what was accomplished that week and what work was upcoming for the following week so that I knew what to expect. Mancuso uses an app called Builder Trend which made everything easy to communicate from project management and selections, to daily logs, and keeping track of costs. Builder Trend kept us all on the same page and schedule. Each night, Luke would post the work that was done, who did it and pictures to show the progress. With Builder Trend and Liz and Luke's communications, I never felt out of the loop, which took away a lot of my stess, especially considering the investment I made in the renovation. Mancuso estimated that it would take eight months. They finished a few weeks early... And I love the way it looks! **★★★★★ — Kate Volzer, Feb. 2025** > I started the process with Mancuso Homes November 2023 and by mid-February 2025 (3 weeks ahead of schedule courtesy of my amazing Project Manager Luke), I was in my fully renovated home. The Mancuso team was great the whole way through the project. From working with the sales team to scope the project, the design team (Liz primarily), and Luke’s project management, you can tell Mancuso cares about who they hire. > > During the project I added 970 square feet to my house which is a split level, built in the 60s, and located in Rocky River. The original home had a chimney in the middle taking up important living space between the kitchen and the family room. The home was also missing a primary bedroom suite with a full bath. With the exception of one bathroom, the home went the whole way down to studs. I had MH remove the chimney and put in additions to the front and back of the home and added a floor for the primary suite complete with bathroom. > > We only had one setback early on with the architect on the project (Arcus group - I would not recommend), Luke managed through the updates expertly ultimately giving me more than I thought I was going to get. The architects missed the staircase placement which required my upper laundry room to need to be relocated. > > During the ~8 months of construction I only visited the site around 10 times because I was living further away and, really, I didn’t feel like I needed to because Luke was such a great communicator. We spoke every week for a check in call and regularly texted with updates or adhoc questions. Luke also put daily logs into BuilderTrend with picture updates from the project. I have ZERO design eye so right before the project started, I decided to hire an interior designer (Ducy Designs) to help connect the build with Liz’s vision, to furnishings. I connected Ducy Designs with Liz and both teams worked together so well to make everything come together. > > I’m beyond thrilled with the results of the project and I’m so happy to be living in my dream home. This was such a great experience and I would recommend trusting Mancuso to give you your dream home too. **★★★★★ — Grant, Sept. 2024** > Mancuso helped us renovate our kitchen, 1/2 bath, and mudroom. They made the planning process as easy and stress free as possible and picked up on our vision right away. The small issues that arose during construction were taken care of quickly and professionally. Their attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond showed. Especially during demolition where they were extra caution to limit dust and debris and protect our existing floors. I would highly recommend them for any large scale remodeling. **★★ — Suzanne Blackburn, July 2022** > Our review is purely from the renovation side of Mancuso Homes(Formerly Relief Properties). We did not utilize their real estate services. Our experience with MH was not what we were hoping for. We had several issues with water infiltrating our home during our home addition project and the contractor did not offer support with cleanup, such as pulling up carpet, providing fans, or dehumidifiers. Some of these water infiltrations could have been avoided with proper project oversight. We also had issues with the project manager not checking work completed, lacked attention to detail, lacked making sure appropriate materials were being utilized by the sub contractors and neglected reviewing sub contractors work before moving forward to the next step. There were many delays due to the management of the project being reactive rather than proactive. Beyond these issues, there was poor guidance and direction provided to the sub contractors, causing us to have provide direction when they arrived or work needing to redone/corrected. This poor project management caused delays and contributed to our 6 month project becoming 14 months. Other grievances were frequent employee turnover and no handoff communication, and the contractor not being respectful to neighbors property and using it for material delivery without permission and as a result damaging their yard. We were also not satisfied that the contractor took 4 months to repair damage to neighbors yard. Because of these reasons and several others we would not recommend Mancuso Homes for a home renovation project. I would encourage anyone who is considering MH for their home remodeling needs to try to find unsolicited reviews prior to committing to them. **Comment from Mancuso Homes:** > Hi Suzanne. The CAD drawings came back and my 4 doors with a simple curved mullion would cost $2000 just for the mullion addition. $2000 pays for most of the island counter installation so..... I'm ordering the doors with frame only and making my own mullions to overlay on top of the mirrored door. It should lower the cost down to $200. Am I crazy? Has anyone done mullions or muntins after the fact? A: Beachem, did you ever find anyone to make your mullions?
