We then, on our own, drew up a detailed “to scale” design for the structure. As our next step we consulted the HomeStars website, where we found the customer reviews very helpful. We interviewed four of the seemingly most highly recommended millwork companies and, very fortunately for us, decided on NIICO Millwork Group Ltd. > > Vladimir, one of NIICO’s project designers, came to our home and spent considerable time hearing what we wanted, reviewing our drawings, confirming our measurements and recommending materials. Using computer assisted design, he suggested very important improvements to our plans and then produced very detailed and exact 3D drawings of the unit. Shortly thereafter, we went to the NIICO showroom where Vladimir helped us make the final selection of materials, colors and accessories. A cost estimate was comparable to the other estimates we had received and, we felt, very fair. > > Our unit was built in a timely way and in the time frame we had agreed to. Ryan, the installer, came to our apartment with the unit in sections and spent 3 days very meticulously assembling everything beautifully. He then returned a few days later to apply the few finishing touches. The attached “Before” and “After” photos show why we are so happy with the result. > > My wife and I, who are perfectionists and incredibly fussy, can’t say enough good things about our NIICO experience. Vladimir, our designer, was extremely intelligent, professional and helpful and a very nice person to boot. Ryan, our installer, was also a very personable young man and, like us, a perfectionist. He did everything as though he was working on his own home. Phil, the project scheduler, was also very pleasant and helpful as was Tanya, an office administrator. > > This spring we are going to start planning an improvement to our living room and will definitely take the project to NIICO! > > The “Before” and “After” photos are attached. ## Selected projects - [Dark Toned Contemporary Kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/dark-toned-contemporary-kitchen-pj-vj~5541679) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 14 - [Contemporary White Kitchen with Dark, Glossy Island Base](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/contemporary-white-kitchen-with-dark-glossy-island-base-pj-vj~5541610) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 11 - [Sleek Custom Contemporary Bathroom](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/sleek-custom-contemporary-bathroom-pj-vj~5541592) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 5 - [Transitional Apartment Kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/transitional-apartment-kitchen-pj-vj~5541581) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 8 - [Contemporary Kitchen with Blue Island](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/contemporary-kitchen-with-blue-island-pj-vj~5541506) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 11 - [Contemporary Matte Black and Wood Kitchen in NIICO Vaughan Showroom](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/contemporary-matte-black-and-wood-kitchen-in-niico-vaughan-showroom-pj-vj~3783833) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 6 - [Contemporary Kitchen with Light Wood in NIICO Vaughan Showroom](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/contemporary-kitchen-with-light-wood-in-niico-vaughan-showroom-pj-vj~3783696) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 5 - [Transitional White and Grey Open Concept Kitchen in NIICO Vaughan Showroom](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/transitional-white-and-grey-open-concept-kitchen-in-niico-vaughan-showroom-pj-vj~3783580) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 6 - [Traditional Kitchen with White and Dark Wood in NIICO Vaughan Showroom](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/traditional-kitchen-with-white-and-dark-wood-in-niico-vaughan-showroom-pj-vj~3783254) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 5 - [Contemporary Kitchen with Dark Wood and Black Marble Island](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/contemporary-kitchen-with-dark-wood-and-black-marble-island-pj-vj~3497265) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 6 - [Custom Transitional Dressing Room and Walk-In Closet](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/custom-transitional-dressing-room-and-walk-in-closet-pj-vj~3022532) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 5 - [Transitional Wall Unit with Glass Door](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/transitional-wall-unit-with-glass-door-pj-vj~3019123) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 4 - [Transitional Kitchen with Custom Millwork Island](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/transitional-kitchen-with-custom-millwork-island-pj-vj~3017474) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 7 - [Traditional All White Custom Bathroom](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/traditional-all-white-custom-bathroom-pj-vj~3017422) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 4 - [Traditional Bathroom Vanity with Gold Accents](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/traditional-bathroom-vanity-with-gold-accents-pj-vj~2964176) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 2 - [Modern White and Wood Bathroom Vanity](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/modern-white-and-wood-bathroom-vanity-pj-vj~2805043) - Location: Toronto, ON - Photos: 3 - [Contemporary Light Wood TV Room Design](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/contemporary-light-wood-tv-room-design-pj-vj~2805092) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 3 - [Contemporary Custom White and Wood Bathroom Vanity](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/contemporary-custom-white-and-wood-bathroom-vanity-pj-vj~2805084) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 3 - [Contemporary White and Wood Kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/contemporary-white-and-wood-kitchen-pj-vj~2805058) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 6 - [Custom Walk-In Closet with Dark Wood](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/custom-walk-in-closet-with-dark-wood-pj-vj~2805015) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 5 [See all 53 projects](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/cabinets-and-cabinetry/niico-millwork-group-pfvwus-pf~2015396155) ## Ideabooks - [\#INSPO: Add Colour in the Kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/117901581/list/inspo-add-colour-in-the-kitchen) — 15 ideas - [\#INSPO: White Kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/117901446/list/inspo-white-kitchen) — 13 ideas - [\#INSPO: Black Kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/117901140/list/inspo-black-kitchen) — 9 ideas [See all 3 ideabooks](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/users/niicomillworkgroup) --- *Source: Houzz professional profile.
