We renovated at 1960's bathroom that needed to be gutted and rebuilt. The previous renovation of a bathroom we had done the design work ourselves along with relying on a contractor who we learned during the process was lacking in design knowledge and in building skill. We of course learned many lessons from that, so hiring Willow Root, and Emma-Lee in particular, for this larger bathroom was an amazing experience as each meeting was productive, with excellent elicitation by Emma-Lee on our tastes, and the resulting proposed design. Granted, the design had a number of iterations, and during each iteration Emma-Lee accepted our changes with grace and professionalism. She was available to consult on review of contractors, and provided us with feedback on the contractors quotes to help with our contractor selection. She ordered materials and they arrived on time, and consulted with the contractors as needed in a professional and helpful manner. Bringing this over arching wonderful statements down to logistical things that reflect on Emma-Lee's skill and knowledge, I recall the selection of grout colour for accent tiles. This was done late in the process, as the contractors advised a different colour for the accent tile. So we had a last minute selection to make ... in this instance, because we had worked with Emma-Lee during the design process, when reviewing the possible grout selections knew I could trust her selection for the last minute change. Willow-Root has wonderful before and after photos. Ask her to share those with you. I moved back into my childhood bedroom, and was working from home, so I wanted to do a major change so it would feel like a new space that I would enjoy spending time in. The walls were painted a bright green and blue colour so I started by repainting everything white. I find it very hard to visualize what different design pieces might suit a space well, although I am also very picky and know what I like when I see it. I showed the room to Willow Root Collective, and attempted to explain my vision (I didn't know exactly what I wanted so I showed photos of other rooms I liked). I ended up using every single idea Willow Root Collective suggested. They designed this gorgeous head board for my bed that was EXACTLY the look I was going for, some floating shelves on one wall, and even helped me to hang photos and place my plants in the right places. I wanted my room to be natural looking and minimalistic, and the end result was better than I could have hoped for. I would definitely recommend Willow Root Collective for your interior design needs.
