## Community Q&A

**Q: Received threat after refusing countertop install due to crack** *(in Home Repair)*

My countertop (quartzite) got delivered today. i noticed numerous big cracks in two of them (3 of them were still in the truck). i refused the installation and asked them to remove the stone from the cabinets. Both cracks went beneath the stone and had glue trace and mesh cover. i was told by the sale guy who came to my house upon request that they are fissue and type of natural beauty. One of 3 pieces in the truck also has a crack tracing from the edge of the sink cut area to the other side of the stone (at least 50 inches, its a big piece). Two hours after the crew left, store manager replied to me with several options (no free replacement, i have to pay more either way) and told me that there would be legal action against me if i dont accept one of the resolutions. i already paid more than $12k for the stone and dont want to pay an extra $10k for the replacement. Any advice would be appreciated.
