Throughout a couple of meetings, Kevin and Brenda collaborated well in offering feedback and ideas while still allowing us to take a very active position in the design process. Given the age of the house and prior additions, Kevin was able to warn us of a couple of spots that may be complicated and was very proactive with our contractor when we opened up the house and could see the whole picture. Throughout the whole process, including design, contractor selection, quotes, permitting, and renovation, Kevin and Brenda checked in with us. They didn't consider the job done until we had a finished product that we were happy with. The homeowner has refinished it a number of time but what you are looking at was stained 3 times with mahogany stain then a gloss clear coat finish which lasted a couple of seasons, this last time he stripped it and then just oiled it with Danish Oil.
