> I moved into my home fresh from a divorce with two small children over 20 years ago. The kitchen was small, dark and had no workspace. Time Travel forward to two years ago and my children are fully grown and I still had not remodeled the kitchen! A Realtor friend told me I was lowering the value of my house.  He introduced me to Ed Buchanan.  I was both intimidated and excited about the whole project. I was retired now, the final decision maker spending my money and needed to wisely "invest" in adding value to my home.
> Ed came in and bolstered my confidence in what was possible.  The property is in the hills and very heavily wooded, I wanted the outdoors to be very connected to the kitchen, plenty of natural light, and in keeping with the mid-century character of the house.  Ed designed a great re-work of the existing footprint knocking down walls and opening up passages, the flow of that side of the House vastly improved. But the jewel is the Kitchen, it is elegant, functional and feels like you are in a tree house on a sunny day.
> The house has flat roof and not a single wall at a true right angle so Ed and my Contractor warned me that custom cabinets were a given, and in the end the Walnut Slab Front we used are really are beautiful and worth it and the huge Island with storage and seating for 4 is the heart of the room.  Ed did every detail with care, like the toe-kicks and heat vents in matching walnut veneer, the single groove at the upper cap of the upper cabinets, the pocket doors to Laundry that look like Cabinets, the Pantry shelves designed as appliance work space/houses with electricity.
> Finally, just a important big yes to the business aspect of Ed, he is timely and responsive. I don't think he ever missed a deadline nor failed to return a txt within reasonable amount of time. I'd hire him again.

> We worked with ED and BOA for a complete gut kitchen remodel that included moving walls.  Ed listened to our must haves and included each one of them.  He was open to suggestions and always provided the pros/cons of any idea.  We were budget conscious and Ed was efficient but thorough. Ed also guided us through the permitting process and prepared the documents so well that getting the permits were a breeze!  BOA made our dream kitchen a reality!
