Barbara Darcy was our primary design consultant and she provided exemplary guidance, inspiration and creative ideas throughout the entire process. She listened attentively to our needs and preferences and presented well thought out options for us to consider. She patiently supported us when our needs unexpectedly changed/evolved during the iterative design process. Additionally she played a key role liaising with the countertop fabricator, advocating on our behalf to address some concerns we had after the countertop installation. She was highly responsive to us, always clearly setting expectations regarding design, delivery and cost while providing white-glove service. We also can’t say enough about the installation team (thanks again Darren, Frank and Cameron for your high quality workmanship and work ethic!) - always timely and professional with a strong sense of pride in their work. We are thrilled with the final kitchen space and would highly recommend the team of expert professionals at Classic Kitchen to anyone planning kitchen or bath remodel. We also were pleased with the high quality workmanship and materials provided by her staff and our only regret was to learn that they are all Boston Red Sox fans.In response to a very pleasant experience with our Cape Cod project, we were motivated to approach Becky with a somewhat unusual request to design our kitchen renovation project in our Connecticut home. For a second time, we had yet another great experience working with Becky and the Massachusetts contractor whom she recommended for our project, in spite of the fact that our CT home is almost 200 miles from her Hyannis office.In closing, we have the highest regard for the work and materials provided by Becky and her colleagues and would recommend them highly, and without reservation. Although we weren’t quite ready to start any interior projects before moving to our “retirement home”, we knew we would need to renovate the master bedroom & bath as well as the kitchen. By having CK involved this early, CK was able to give us feedback as to window/door size(s) and placement in the area of the kitchen & master bedroom/bath. > Our first project with CK was our master bedroom and bath which soon lead us into our second project - the kitchen. The kitchen was done in two phases. The first phase involved removing some walls and combining different levels of ceilings while leaving a functional kitchen for the summer rental. Again, because CK was involved at this stage, CK gave us some great feedback which lead to a great design. The second phase was the actual installation which was begun once we were able to make the move to our “retirement home” permanently. > CK was very patient with us going through a number of designs and renderings to help us make the most of our space while combining our vision to maintain the character of our home and its surroundings. Barbara helped us make our kitchen both comfortable and functional for the two of us on a daily basis and as well as when our children and grandchildren come to visit. Barbara’s attention to detail was impressive. She thought of things we never thought about such as how best to intermingle some of our kitchen areas with the detailing of the cabinets and countertops to look like pieces of furniture added over time. Her designer’s envision help us tremendously with choosing the style and color of cabinets and hardware, countertop edges, backsplash, and detailing of our range and island areas. > Our kitchen incorporated our sunroom which overlooks the lake. Maintaining the view was also at the top of our wish list so the placement of cabinets and appliances was important as well as was maintaining proper clearances for walker/wheelchair access. CK helped us maintain the view and incorporating everything we needed by providing us with a great design. > We are very pleased with the outcome of our kitchen and can’t say enough about Barbara and all at CK. Barbara’s ability to take our ideas (while working with a given space that was ever-changing) truly gave us our dream kitchen. We especially enjoyed working with Barbara who took our project to completion with a great installation crew. Becky Brown got it all correct and the bathroom turned out beautiful. The installers were wonderful and were able to get everything done during blizzards and the worst winter we have had in years. But, we got it done and it is gorgeous.
