She explained that would give the room a cozier feel and provide more wall space for furniture. We agreed, and are so glad she kept at it and convinced us. Same thing was true with the bedroom and bathroom - she immediately suggested stealing the entire walk-in closet space to expand the bathroom. She said take some space from the unfinished part of the basement for a new closet. It seems obvious in retrospect, but wasn't at the time. Yes, it did add some cost to the project, but it was the right thing to do. > o She communicates her ideas really well: why something works or doesn't work. And she listened to our ideas and clearly laid out what the pros and cons were as well as her opinion. > o She has good taste: for the bathroom, she gave us samples or pictures of tiles and vanities and mirrors and wall lights and wall colors, etc. The bathroom came out beautifully as a result.
