> We built a custom home which requires a great team and a LOT of decisions. The end result is unbelievable and there is a clear MVP of the team: Betsy. We interviewed half a dozen designers. Many had a “my way or the highway” approach whereas Betsy took the time to ask about our decision process and how she can best work within that process. We live in an area with a lot of colonial style and needed to be confident our team (builder and designer) could meet our modern pallet. From start to finish we felt Betsy “got it” and was a consistent voice in a very long and sometime endless series of decisions. The results speak for themselves and we highly encourage you to visit her website gallery and seek out references.

**★★★★★ — Kevin & Michele Casey, Nov. 2025**

> If there was an option for ten stars, we would select it for this amazing team of absolute professionals. From the moment we met until the end of two separate and very different projects, we knew we would end up with exactly (and then some!) what we wanted.
>
> Betsy and her team got to know my husband and I and helped us choose (with gentle encouragement and direction) literally every single aspect of a new house and a kitchen/living areas/office space renovation of our vacation home. The attention to detail and their organized approach created a stress-free experience for us. We could not be happier with the results.
>
> Their design expertise, attention to detail and thoughtful approach ensured that every space feels both stunning and perfectly suited to the way we live. They listened closely to our vision, offered creative solutions we would never have imagined and handled each challenge with grace and professionalism.
>
> Beyond their immense talent, the team is simply wonderful to work with-kind, responsive and incredibly dedicated. They made what could have been an overwhelming process feel exciting and seamless.
>
> We are thrilled with our homes and so grateful for the exceptional experience. We absolutely enthusiastically recommend Betsy Bassett Interiors to anyone seeking inspired design and a truly collaborative partnership!

**★★★★★ — HU-5611313, March 2025**

> Betsy and her team helped us re-do our family room, primary bedroom, and eat-in area of our kitchen and we couldn’t be happier with the end result! We had lots of requirements for each space such as dog friendly fabrics, black out draperies, custom bookshelf and new fireplace in the bedroom. Betsy helped us get to an end result that we could never have imagined and yet it all completely suits our family. We love coming home to our new furniture and decor, it has really increased our enjoyment of our home. We would absolutely recommend working with Betsy!

**★★★★★ — emdf, Nov. 2024**

> Betsy was great--she was so easy to work with and we highly recommend her. She allowed us to be as involved (or uninvolved) as we wanted in decisions and the end result is so beautiful.
>
> There were so many things that had to be considered....colors, patterns, measurements and lighting, etc. and she handled it all for us.
>
> We added a small addition onto our home with a primary suite (plus bathroom) and two offices. All of the rooms work well together, but each has a unique color palate and sense of style. They also blend well into the style of the rest of the home.

**★★★★★ — Portico Fine Tile & Design, June 2024**

> Business cards and email signatures mean nothing.
> Beautiful results and happy, proud homeowners mean everything!
> Besty is a well experienced, conscientious professional.
> She consistently respects and reinforces the true value of thoughtful design collaboration.
> Her clients get THEIR home... well planned, livable and beautiful!

**★★★★★ — Designer Bath & Salem Plumbing Supply, Dec. 2023**

> WOW! Where do I start? After working with Betsy and her team for the past 5+ years, I still get excited to work on the next new project with them.
>
> Betsy always stays in the know by attending industry events to educate herself and team on the newest technology and design trends in the kitchen & bath plumbing industry. She has a fresh design approach to each individual project and a keen eye for attention to detail that brings the clients vision to life.
>
> Betsy has developed trusted partners within the vendor community. She is able to source the best options for your project through communication and collaboration. Betsy is truly a class act!

**★★★★★ — sew62, Nov. 2023**

> Building a home is a huge undertaking even with a talented architect and builder on board. We initially met with Betsy because we wanted to get it right! Her professional guidance in making decisions took our dream and made it a reality. She has impeccable taste and an amazing eye for style, color, and texture. She pays strict attention to space design, detail, and functionality. Betsy was absolutely amazing to work with. She's a great listener and communicator and quickly understood what we were looking for. She actually made the process fun! We are so thrilled with the result and are very proud of our new home!
> Betsy and her team are true professionals in their field, I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again!

**★★★★★ — Tucker Associattes of NH LLC, Dec. 2022**

> Working with Betsy and her team on my project has set the new standard in my eyes for how to affectively collaborate on a project. Our projects are only as successful as the team that is assembled and the ability for that team to work together to provide the client with the best level of service and quality. Betsy and her team bring that and then some, their attention to detail, their ability to understand the client and their needs at the same time being mindful of the project's budget and schedule. Betsy and her team bring dreams to life , and it is amazing to see the details unfold and watch the client react and love the experience that Betsy Basset Interiors brings to the project. I have worked with many interior design firms and I hold Betsy Bassett Interiors as the gold standard.

**★★★★★ — Marylou Fraser Interiors, Dec. 2022**

>
> I am always amazed at her natural ability to transform a space finding its potential in every corner and the delightful way she brings that design into reality.
> I highly recommend her for your design projects!
>

> I first saw Betsy's projects on Houzz and loved the variety of styles and looks she had achieved. I had contacted another designer who was steering me to her own style, but when I talked to Betsy, she assured me that my personal style would be followed. When I met Betsy I felt an instant connection and hired her on the spot. I have been thrilled with my decision and how the house has turned out. At every step of the way, Betsy was able to guide me to the right decision, taking into account my taste, my budget, and dealing with the supply chain issues. I like to be very involved by looking for things myself, and Betsy embraced my involvement and was always very honest in her assessment of how my choices would fit into the overall plan. It was a true collaboration. She was always able to hone in on just the right thing, be it a piece of furniture, a wallpaper or fabric choice, construction details, and down to the finishing touches.
>
> Because of Betsy and her team's diligence and understanding of me and my house, we as a team were able to create the home of my dreams. We wound up tackling the entire house - restructuring the master suite, adding a family room plus mudroom in the walk-out basement, completely redoing the kitchen, revamping the dining room based on an inspiration photo I found on Houzz, creating a sun-filled library, and redecorating the entire house. Every room that I look in feels amazing.
>
> I would highly recommend Betsy to anyone who wants to do it right and avoid costly mistakes.

**★★★★★ — resanth, Oct. 2021**

> Betsy was incredibly easy to work with and her designs are beautiful. She pushed me outside my comfort zone with her ideas and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I would recommend Betsy 100%.

**★★★★★ — M Park, Sept. 2021**

> Betsy and her team were amazing to work with! I completed an extensive reno of a 3 BR condo, including splitting a jack/jill bathroom into two, and furnishing the majority of the space. I had never done anything like this before, and she was instrumental in guiding me through the process (during a pandemic, no less), doing things in the correct order, designing the new buildouts, working directly with the construction team, making recommendations, and finding the perfect pieces to turn the new place into the home of my dreams. And all the while, she was always accessible, and a delight to work with. You'll love working with her - highly recommend.

**★★★★★ — alileflore19, Sept. 2021**

> Betsy and her staff are so warm and welcome. They listened to what I was looking for, showed me just the right amount of options- not too much to overwhelm me, but enough to give me choices. Betsy worked with the contractor to ensure everything was being done to meet the goals for the space - correct lighting, soffit paint color, etc. Then she totally delivered on the "complete look" - books, pictures, flowers, wall art, etc. Betsy and her staff were open about costs, both theirs and the furniture. The room I have now is sophisticated, warm, and welcoming. I would highly recommend Betsy and her staff. They are delightful and talented.

**★★★★★ — radhikasmathews, Dec. 2020**

> Betsy helped us throughout the process of renovating our Newton home to accommodate an elderly parent in a basement suite with new bathroom, bedroom, laundry and media room. Betsy was able to thoughtfully anticipate the needs we might have in creating a functional and attractive space and keep the process of renovation and interior finish on track with beautiful results despite all the COVID delays and construction hiccups. Betsy was professional and consistent and we would definitely enlist her help with future projects.

**★★★★★ — Patricia Suliman, Nov. 2020**

> Betsy and her staff have worked on our recent project, a complete renovation of our beach house on Cape Cod. It is the second large scale project that we have enlisted her as our design specialist. She has a great eye for space and an even keener eye for details. She is quick to understand her client and their wishes. We were able to create together a cottage that eludes beauty and calmness, with only colors that you would find in a seashell! Betsy is a pleasure to work with, I trust her, she is patient, and I would not hesitate to reach out to her again for any future project.

**★★★★★ — HU-5611313, Oct. 2020**

> I hired Betsy to help with redecorating my foyer and converting an upstairs bedroom into a home office. Betsy was incredibly professional and easy to work with. She did a great job of listening to my interests and also kept the projects on schedule. The foyer project involved designing a custom shelving unit for artwork and sculptures I wanted to display. I could never have come up with this solution but the end result is really great! We will definitely be using her for any future design projects we have.

**★★★★★ — Justine, Dec. 2019**

> I hired Betsy to help me with a powder room and am incredibly glad I did. Her years of experience, outstanding knowledge of products, and great relationships with stores that source products were all apparent and invaluable. She worked extremely well with my contractor, was onsite at crucial points of the project, and was always available to my contractor if he had questions. Perhaps what I appreciated most about Betsy was that she not only utilized her own great design and visual skills, but also really listened to what I wanted. I can honestly say she helped me design exactly the powder room I was envisioning (but would not have been able to accomplish without her help). Finally, not only was she always professional and responsive, she is also fun to work with and someone you enjoy having in your home. I expect to work with her again.

**★★★★★ — David Bakstran, Dec. 2019**

> Betsy Bassett Interiors was recommended by a friend and it turned out to be a great recommendation! I had downsized, moved into my first condo and decided that I wanted a well appointed living space that I would be proud to share with my friends. Betsy and Dayna understood my goal and listened to my minimal instructions. "I have no idea what I want. I need you to present me with your ideas on what will make this living space beautiful." From the moment you enter my condo, the alcove to the right says elegance. I was provided multiple choices for every piece of furniture but ended up settling on everyone of their recommendation. I am in a wheelchair which was taken into account when the choice of rugs were presented. I not only have a beautiful rug but a rug that will last the the test of time from the abuse of a heavy wheelchair. It is great living in such a well appointed condo!!!

**★★★★★ — Beth L., Oct. 2019**

> Betsy and her team are extraordinarily talented and an absolute joy to work with. She and her team helped us with a major new family room and new master bedroom and bath. She somehow managed to know our style but give us an ever better version of what we'd ever imagined. Two years later and we still receive compliments on her work all the time! We are now partnering with her again to design a new tween bathroom because our daughter loves the master bath she designed just a little too much! Wonderful pro and a joy to work with.

**★★★★★ — Robyn Spector, Oct. 2019**

> Betsy was amazing. So easy to work with, has great contacts, a great eye and great taste. We were very pleased with how helpful she was, and how responsive she was as well. The job was very smooth, stress-free and she helped us decorate our home in Back Bay - from start to finish in about 2 months! We would not hesitate recommend her or to use Betsy's services again for our next home!

**★★★★★ — Mitchell King, Nov. 2018**

> This project was our first major renovation after twenty nine years in our house. Betsy transformed our awkward and disjointed kitchen into a great cooking and entertaining space that connects perfectly with our dining and living rooms. Betsy’s keen focus on function and aesthetics made all of the difference during both the design and build phases of our project. Changes of inches here and there, recommendations on moldings, and recommendations on fixtures and other design details were the difference between a non-descript kitchen and one with beautiful details and finishes.
>
> Betsy’s participation in the building process was also invaluable. She identified early construction errors that averted major problems as the project progressed. She also worked hard to understand our tastes and was extremely efficient in presenting fixture and color options that made the selection process easier and less time consuming.
>
> It’s clichéd to say, but we couldn’t have done it without her!

**★★★★★ — Steven Katz, Nov. 2018**

> For six years we did a summer rental on Cape Cod. Every year we said "if this ever comes on the market we have to try to buy it, it could be our dream house. We bought it knowing that it had not been updated since 1980 and the three bathrooms and kitchen looked it. We needed help and Betsy Bassett and her team came to the rescue. With a fresh set of eyes and great sensibilities she had the vision to help us open up a wall in the kitchen, work on color palettes and furniture styles throughout the house, including three bedrooms, all with a sense of the budget we had to work within. One of her special talents was in helping design the kitchen cabinets and appliances, so that it functions and looks amazing. Her idea of taking out the wall created great sight lines and a new sense of space.
> It meant a lot to us that Betsy was a great listener and could integrate our ideas and yet feel comfortable in giving us advice that we never would have thought of based on her experience.
> The project was finished in the Summer of 2018 and came in within budget. It is such a pleasure to be there and we feel that Betsy and her staff were a major part of the success. People come in and invariably say Wow! Now it truly is our 'Dream House'!
> We would definitely recommend Betsy Bassett Interiors. They are great!

**★★★★★ — Wendy Shih, Oct. 2018**

> I've had the pleasure of working with Betsy Bassett Interiors. We bought a new home and didn't know where to begin. Upon meeting Betsy, she quickly understood my aesthetic and was able to helped us put together rooms that were beautiful and functional. This included sourcing furniture/light/accessories, coordinating trades people (electrician, carpenter for built-ins, etc) and making sure everything turned out perfect. When my husband was ready to create an office out of one of our spare rooms a few months later, the only designer he trusted to work with was Betsy. Our office turned out beautifully. Betsy has amazing taste and a great eye for putting things together. We have recommended her to many of our friends and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

**★★★★★ — Kathleen Cohen, Oct. 2018**

> We cannot say enough about our experience working with Betsy Bassett. Our current project involved updating a tired condo with excellent bones into the beautiful residence that it was meant to be. Betsy is thorough, professional, and also a lovely person. She sourced and managed a number of excellent tradespeople to work on our project, while creating a beautiful aesthetic for us. Betsy’s ideas and problem solving skills in every area created added value, and brought the project in on time. This is our second major project with Betsy, and we would recommend her without hesitation as an outstanding design professional.

**★★★★★ — Joan Lenington, March 2018**

> I have worked with Betsy on several projects. The first involved her help with overall space design issues and interior decoration during a renovation of our Back Bay apartment. In addition, she worked with us on several smaller projects--a built-in bookcase/entertainment center, desk, and draperies. I cannot praise Betsy highly enough. She is creative, smart, and extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of interior design, with a wonderful eye and sense of space and color. She listens well; she always addressed our concerns and style in her design suggestions. She is a master at working with contractors; in one instance she salvaged a contractor's disastrous design mistake but with such finesse, she left no ruffled feathers! She is extremely professional--prompt and always well-prepared. The sub-contractors she uses are terrific--easy to work with and highly skilled. Betsy is a delight to work with--I would call on her in a nano-second if I had another project!

**★★★★★ — User, Dec. 2017**

> From Peter Diianni, project manager at JH Klein Wassink Company:
>
> Betsy and I worked together on a major project in New Hampshire that required tight coordination of our mill work and cabinetry with her choices of paint finishes, accent lighting, decorative hardware, sink/faucets and tile. She blended professionalism with a relaxed style that assured that the process was both precise and enjoyable. Her ability to understand and implement her clients design style and convey those details quickly and accurately to all the subcontractors was apparent throughout the job. I would highly recommend Betsy for any design project.

**★★★★★ — Candice Morse, Nov. 2017**

> Betsy has truly transformed our office space in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her eye for detail and timeless design has made our space a much more enjoyable environment. She is a joy to work with and has a real passion for the design business. She is a true artist!

**★★★★★ — hmorrissey, Oct. 2017**

> Betsy Bassett interiors transformed my first floor which had major water damage (kitchen, den, and dining room) into a classic and elegant home! Betsy was a pleasure to work every step of the way with exceptional taste and an eye for color and design! I would 100% recommend Betsy Basset Interiors and plan on using them again in the future!

**★★★★★ — Claudia Cabanas, Dec. 2016**

> Thanks to Houzz we had the good fortune of contacting Betsy in early 2016 to help us with our 1930’s Royal Barry Wills Cape we purchased a year earlier.
>
> At the time, we were first time homebuyers with an energetic 4yr old, two cats, and a dog on the way! Though we had dabbled in home decoration in our twenties, we were now too busy and tired to even contemplate wall color options.
>
> We chose Betsy based on her design style sensibility (well represented in her website) and her glowing customer reviews in Houzz.
>
> Our challenge was to design our unfurnished dining room, foyer, powder room, and living room, in a style that spoke to our design sensibility - Old Hollywood/Art Deco.
>
> As other reviewers have stated, Betsy delivered above and beyond our expectations. She truly listened to our needs, our aesthetic preferences, and helped us filter and edit choices making the design process stress-free. Along the way we learned from her about quality furniture, professional millwork, impeccable wall paper, and custom drapes. We got to know her impressive list of contractors, carpenters, electricians, wall paper installers, and seamstresses. The quality of the entire teams’ work and their professional demeanor impressed us tremendously.
>
> As we move forward with our ongoing design projects, we shall continue working with Betsy. We highly recommend her!

**★★★★★ — Michelle Rondeau, Dec. 2016**

> We have done several large projects with Betsey spanning over 3 properties. Projects ranging from complete overhauls to updates to small spaces. She is well qualified. Her work is impeccable, organized, timely and well thought out. Her ability to understand her client's style and add unexpected touches that round out any space is impressive! I would highly recommend her for any design project big or small.

**★★★★★ — Patricia Suliman, Oct. 2016**

> We hired Betsy and her team to help coordinate a renovation of our aging kitchen area. We live in a Williamsburg style home that is 25 years old. We wanted to keep the integrity of the original architecture but with an updated interior design. Before meeting Betsy I met with two other designers that were not getting "it". Betsy was professional, easy to work with, a good listener, and had a great eye for space and design. She helped us create a charming space that looks like it was always there. It is warm, inviting, has a natural flow, and is functional, as I love to cook. Betsy offered connections with other professionals and tradesmen to assist in producing an end product consisting of the highest quality of craftsmanship and finish work that we were looking for, from a custom cabinetmaker and his woodworkers to fabrics finishes that reflect our lifestyle and the harmony of our home. She is a delight to work with!! I feel very lucky to have had her by my side. I came away feeling like we became a team ourselves! We loved her work so much that my husband is currently working on another project with her to help design his new office space. I would highly recommend Betsy Bassett Interiors when starting your next project!!

**★★★★★ — lengruber, May 2016**

> Betsy provided both exterior and interior design services for a two level addition to our house. The entire upper level was a master bathroom. We had architectural prints that Betsy optimized in terms of layout of major fixtures, which turned out to be crucial for functionality. Betsy also helped significantly with recommending furnishings and lighting for the bathroom and downstairs. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we'd use her again without blinking an eye! It is also important to mention that she worked well with the contractor and more generally was a pleasure to work with.

**★★★★★ — Frank, Feb. 2016**

> We found Betsy via Houzz, and are ecstatic that we did. We not only got Betsy, but we got one of her go-to building contractors, a fantastic guy who knows his stuff and whose crews do quality high-end work. The basement remodel came out beautifully. It's now a pleasure to go downstairs. It makes us happy.
>
> Our job was to remodel 900 sq ft of walkout basement (rec room, bedroom, bathroom) and to design/finish another 500 sq ft room of, at the time, unfinished space. We have a son in the 9th grade, and we wanted to create a get-away space that he and his friends would enjoy (and, when the coast is clear, my wife and I, as well!). We also wanted the remodeled bedroom to be for our son should he decide his present bedroom is too close to ours, or for guests, or possibly as a little vacation space away from our second floor bedroom. The bedroom and full bath were cramped and tired. The rec room was a utilitarian 15' x 25' space with two sets of walk-out glass sliding doors opposite a wall of shallow bookshelves surrounding a fireplace and a big TV wedged in the corner. The unfinished space was a 1957 anachronism of concrete, electrical wires and willy-nilly overhead pipes.
>
> We first contacted Betsy in October 2014. The project began in late January 2015 and completed in June/July of 2015.
>
> Here is what we found in working with Betsy:
> o She is really easy to work with - professional, but with an easy, friendly manner
> o She listens and asks great questions: we knew sort-of what we wanted with regard to configuration and style. Betsy did a great job of turning our ideas into a concrete picture.
> o She has great instincts for the big design picture. The rec room had a fireplace as a focal point. But we also wanted to use the room for watching movies on a big TV. But we didn't want the TV over the fireplace or, as she said, for the TV and the fireplace to compete as focal points. Further, the ceiling height was low. Originally, we assumed we would keep the fireplace mantle, which, she pointed out, accentuated the 82" low ceiling. She suggested a more modern design to give the room an illusion of more height. And, despite our initial intent to keep the glass sliding doors, she persisted, always nicely, to suggest replacing them with two sets of double windows. She explained that would give the room a cozier feel and provide more wall space for furniture. We agreed, and are so glad she kept at it and convinced us. Same thing was true with the bedroom and bathroom - she immediately suggested stealing the entire walk-in closet space to expand the bathroom. She said take some space from the unfinished part of the basement for a new closet. It seems obvious in retrospect, but wasn't at the time. Yes, it did add some cost to the project, but it was the right thing to do.
> o She communicates her ideas really well: why something works or doesn't work. And she listened to our ideas and clearly laid out what the pros and cons were as well as her opinion.
> o She has good taste: for the bathroom, she gave us samples or pictures of tiles and vanities and mirrors and wall lights and wall colors, etc. The bathroom came out beautifully as a result. For the rec room, she suggested a beautiful area rug that matches the elegant, but relaxed character of the room.
> o She knows other good people: as I mentioned above, the contractor, who she works with a lot, is absolutely top-notch.

> In short, we were delighted and fortunate to work with Betsy.

> Betsy is an enthusiastic and talented designer who is also a superb listener. Our project entailed downsizing from a 3,000+ square foot suburban home to a city condo half the size. Betsy did an incredible job creating a space that incorporated some of our existing 'traditional" pieces with new contemporary pieces that fit the smaller, modern space. Betsy was able to mix beauty with comfort and create spaces that fit our lifestyle. The final product was exactly as we had pictured it. Betsy is a lovely person and enjoyable to work with. She is efficient, knowledgeable and conscientious. We would highly recommend Betsy and would absolutely hire her for future projects!

> Midway through a renovation, structural issues demanded unanticipated changes to our living room, leaving an extremely awkward shape there. We were referred to Betsy Bassett by another designer who felt Betsy's expertise in architectural solutions would help and we couldn't be more pleased with her results. Stepping in late in the project, she was efficient, knowledgeable, talented and fun. She worked seamlessly and graciously with our contractor, effectively using lighting and a modified bookshelf design to present a room which feels like it was meant to be structured this way.
> Betsy also was able to find furnishing options and fabrics which met my husband's very traditional taste and my more transitional leanings. We highly recommend her, and we will be using her again to help "fix" other areas we didn't know were broken.

> I truly love working with Betsy. She is skilled, creative, full of great ideas and totally unpretentious. I appreciate her ability to listen to my hopes regarding my project and still work within my budget. She designed rooms that are prettier than I could have imagined and made the process fun!!
> I especially like her way of creating a unique space by blending beautiful colors and textures all the while encouraging my input and using items that have personal significance.
> Betsy has a way of making me feel like my project is top priority and is always quick to respond to my questions or concerns. I will turn to her in the future for guidance as I think she has impeccable taste, talent and is simply a joy to work with.

> Betsy has been an invaluable professional support in our one year journey of downsizing from a large suburban home to a smaller urban condo. She works seamlessly with both clients and her professional colleagues to provide an experience that respects the client's needs and opinions while providing guidance and alternatives. We have done major construction, as well as typical interior design work, touching all of our living space during our project with Betsy. She has created, among other things, a "zen" master bath retreat, and a "jewel box" dining room. We are so happy that our contractor, Western Construction, recommended Betsy to us at the start of our project. We highly recommend Betsy, and enjoy working with her.

Every project is incredibly unique and beautiful. This is something Betsy seems to achieve flawlessly. I feel fortunate to work with such a designer.

> I am a Cabinet Maker who has had the opportunity to work with Betsy Bassett on many occasions. Our most recent project was a complete remodel of a Condo at a Downtown Boston Hotel. Betsy is great to work with. She keeps thing moving. She has the unique ability to focus on the here and now without losing focus on the finished product. She pays attention to every detail. I always know that my work will look its best because every piece of furniture, every piece of art work, and every accessory compliment each other. Don't take my word for it. > Betsy has a knack for transforming a "less than ideal" room into the room you really want. As part of our master bath renovation, we wanted a functional two person vanity. Unfortunately we had limited space and the extra challenge of an awkwardly placed window (which couldn't be moved due to a brick exterior). Betsy's overall bath design was lovely - but her skills really showed when she (1) designed a custom vanity with a double size trough sink that made excellent use of the space we had; and (2) eliminated the negative impact of the window by designing a custom mirror and wrapping the window frame in the same marble which covers the window/mirror wall behind the vanity. We wouldn't change a thing - thanks Betsy!

> Betsy Bassett assisted us with the renovation of our master bath and powder room. Her creativity and attention to detail provided us with an end result which we absolutely love! We thoroughly enjoyed working with her and look forward to the next project!

> When we bought our house, we quickly overhauled the very dated kitchen. Twenty years later, the room was ready for another makeover. We wanted to get rid of the two dog crates (which did double duty as shoe storage units) and the kitchen table, all of which cluttered the space. We needed extra storage space and a comfy, unobtrusive place for our dogs to sleep. It occurred to us that the underutilized farmers porch could be replaced with a mud room, but we had no idea how to realize all of these goals. Our budget kept us from gutting the entire kitchen. Betsy engaged us at every turn, offering expert advice on the most important decisions to the most mundane. She knew the best length for our new peninsula, where to relocate the dishwasher, how to add cabinets above existing cabinets and make them look like they’d always been there. She designed all of the lighting and a custom built secretary to house recipe books, mail, etc. The most unique aspect of her design was creating a “doggie den” that was not only functional, but aesthetically pleasing. Betsy worked closely with our contractor, carefully monitoring the work, keeping us updated on the progress, and stepping in when something wasn’t being installed correctly. She has an eye for color, texture, light and space that was invaluable in conceiving and completing our project. Betsy’s love for her work is evident. She brought humor and enthusiasm in boatloads to the project. We are thrilled with the results. And so are our dogs, Maxie and Scout!

> I had the pleasure of meeting Betsy yesterday. Not only is she talented, but she has great warmth and communication skills, and the ability to bring ideas together into a whole. We just had purchased a new home and I was feeling completely overwhelmed with the task of purchasing furniture on a budget which I could be confident in liking a few years from now. I knew she was busy, but she accommodated my need for a consultation quickly, "saying I just heard it in your voice that you needed help". By the time she left, she had helped me to break down the design into manageable parts, and suddenly I went from dreading the decisions, to complete excitement about what might be possible to do- starting with some basics I already had. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

> I can't say enough about what a pleasure it was to work with Betsy Bassett. We had just finished a home renovation, and only knew what we wanted the house to "feel" like. Betsy came highly recommended, and as soon as we met her we knew she was the one. She asked all the right questions, listened patiently, and "got" us very quickly. Betsy then helped us create a beautiful home with the perfect balance of elegance and comfort. She is a true professional, and her ability to not only envision a final product, but to do so with such a gorgeous design aesthetic revealed to us what a talent she really is.
> Betsy has a "can do" attitude, and you feel completely heard when working with her. She did everything from designing pieces of furniture to tracking down an artist that I had admired in passing. She has excellent follow-through, is efficient with her time, and is conscious of budget.
> I honestly can't say enough about her. She continued to amaze us with her design vision and resourcefulness throughout the project. We are absolutely thrilled with the results. She is the total package - a highly talented designer with the personality of a trusted friend. Highly recommend.

> Betsy Basset combines professional knowledge and experience in interior design with a respect for and sensitivity to clients tastes, lifestyle, and budget.
> She draws on a variety of vendors and sources, including high end "to-the trade" suppliers, retail consumer establishments, and individual artisans and craftspeople.
>
> She pays attention to detail, and can be counted on to meet budget and deadline commitments. She is patient, responsive, and unpretentious, and a pleasure to work with.
>
> We worked together over a period of a year or more on a variety of projects in my home, and I continue to count her as trusted advisor. I will be using her services again.

**★★★★★ — rgfromwaban, April 2013**

> Betsy is an incredible designer. She listens very carefully to her clients taste and lifestyle needs and incorporates that into her incredible creative vision. Where others see obstacles, Betsy finds solutions that are budget conscious and beautiful. Although she is not an architect, she designed a renovation project that solved a myriad of problems without requiring the massive renovation suggested by several contractors.
>
> She is a pleasure to be around and has a wonderful positive attitude. My contractor, the subcontractors and our vendors all enjoy working with her as well because she is professional, conscientious, thorough and always well informed.
>
> Having encountered other designers over the years who were either pushy - in the sense that they were not budget sensitive or that they wanted my home to reflect their taste -- I can honestly say Betsy is a breath of fresh air. She has made my house into a home that I love, that reflects my and my husband's aesthetic sensibilities.
>
> I anxiously await the opportunity to work with her again.
