Our neighborhood is notorious for having break-ins, and I feel like we're the only house on the street that hasn't been hit. Thanks** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Certainly CJ. You can have as many as you want. They will work great on the custom homes you build! **Q: Tv over fireplace. Can this work?** *(in Design Dilemma)* Hi, we are renovating our first home and have smashed out the bricks to replace with new bricks and building a mantel. All the existing gib has also been removed. The only place for the tv would be over the fireplace. Is this safe? Can you hide the chords? Are there special products to use to stop the tv heating up? Would love any help!! A: Tram Construction is correct in that you should extend the mantle to deflect the heat from the fireplace. A professional AV/ Automation installer can snake the wires up to the television mount and hide your power, coaxial cable and cat5 cable. I would include a cat5 cable as most new televisions are internet ready and hardwired internet streams movies much faster and more reliably. You can use a tilt mount to compensate for the height of the television. This will make the screen angle more favorable.
