Kevin and Julio came up with a beautiful plan and have kept our yard looking great for the last few years. We are on a corner lot and have an inner courtyard encompassing most of the length of our house. The courtyard was all grass and had no character at all. We also have an area outside the courtyard that was mostly grass along the sidewalk. And a front yard that has grass and a reasonably large raised bed. > The design that Nature’s Realm gave us was built around my love of variety in plants, flowers and diversity. A great deal of the work was inside the courtyard where there was a small bricked area where we decided to put bricked raised beds for vegetables and herbs -all the lovely brick work was performed by Kevin and his group. There was also an essentially unused brick patio towards the back of the house . They expanded the patio and put in a lovely outdoor kitchen that is mostly protected from the weather and placed open shelving in there for a large variety of succulents. > The grass in the courtyard was completely removed and square brick pathway stones were placed meandering along the length it. Kevin partners with Chris Beauregard of BB Pools & Construction to provide pool design services along with landscape design. After our initial meeting with Kevin and Chris we felt they had the vision and knowledge to achieve the look we desired for our backyard. The scope of the work on our pool included installing new pavers over existing old pea gravel decking; removing a large rock waterfall and replacing with an updated water wall, resurfacing the pool, replacing the tile surround, replacing existing pool pumps and replacing lighting. After sharing several images that we found on the internet, Kevin was able to create a space that met our needs perfectly. The craftsmanship of his team's work is outstanding and he does a great job of keeping you informed along the way. After wrapping up the work on our side yard, he moved on to tackling the challenging front yard (overgrown, shaded with no grass). Our house was being built so our job was a complete landscaping. There was no yard, no beds, no hard scaping. Kevin started by taking photographs from inside the house so that he could ensure that we would have pleasant scenes to view from every window. Special attention was paid to large window views to ensure that the view was proportionate to the scale of the window. > > This was a big project and it took several months to complete. It included building a retaining wall in the front of the house, a drainage system, a seven zone sprinkler system, a zoysia lawn, flower beds and a path that extended along one side of the house with two patio areas, seven trellises, a huge urn and a wall fountain.
