> DO NOT USE FIBERTEC-My wife and I have built a few homes over the last years, our latest was to be the most energy efficient-we mistakenly decided to use Fibertec for our windows and some doors,(triple pane/krypton). Within a few years our glass began to fog over, first a few then eventually every pane in the home had to be replaced! We also had issues with casement crank units, sliding door locking mechanisms. Some of the panes were broken during installation or during loading/travel. The Fibertec warranty, in my opinion, is bogus- my costs were substantial for each glass replacement including handling charge, + travel time, + installation, + glass disposal multiplied by every glass pane! Now it seems I have issues with the frames cracking- photos taken and sent to Fibertec, I was told to hit it with crazy glue or pay to have a new frame installed- NO THANKS, I am finished with Fibertec- I truly hope this review changes your thoughts on using this company's product!!

> The quality of the windows and doors are excellent and the service support with a few installation issues was outstanding. Fibertech was very helpful with their detailed recommendation for our large Floor to ceiling windows. I can highly recommend this company.

> Great Windows for the Canadian climate! I’m a repeat customer, just got them installed and looks great! The fibreglass material is the way to go!

> purchased windows but they did not install. Fiberglass windows with glass options. company works out of canada and ships to US

> These are not details about the product itself but the sales, production and shipping. I am a customer based in California.
>
> \- Lead time was inaccurate or purposefully misleading;
> \- Prices were at least 30% higher than competitor Marvin;
> \- Only payment method was wire transfer (no dispute is possible with this payment method and it is slower than anything else);
> \- The product was not shipped until Fibertec has the money on its bank account;
> \- Shipping prices were very high and yet the shipping service is subpar;
> \- No tracking, ETA provided with shipping.

> Roy their sales guy was extremely responsive throughout the entire sales and production process right through to delivery. We had caused some items to be damaged after delivery and even working with us to get a few items rebuilt was a great process. Some of the other reviews I read seemed to have indicated that Roy was not responsive but I can tell you that this was not the case and this was no normal order. We had a GC as well as myself (homeowner) interacting with fibertech and the whole team (sales, finance, production) was extremely professional and responsive and we had a bunch of issues and problems that needed solving around logistics and delivery and all was handled extremely diligently and professionally by fibertech.

> I appreciate the value of triple pane fiberglass windows. I recently built a home in toronto and used Inline Fiberglass. This was for a second home and in-line didn’t even get back to me. I would only use fibertech going forward. Fibertech door hardware and window screens are much higher end than Inline. And fibertech does a much better job with the finishing. When all my INLINE a fiberglass windows arrived they had messy caulking in between joints and the screens were very basic whereas the fibertech ones have a nice edge covering the seam and are generally way more high end than InLine.

> A really great company to work with and highly recommended. Especially Roy and Sam.

> Roy was great to work with, really quick turn around to get a quote and he was very patient with us revising the window design several times. We just received the windows and the quality is very good, nice frames and very good u value for the triple glazed units.

> BUYER BEWARE-BIG FAIL !!
> Purchased 34 new windows a while back , In 3-4 years I started to see a little cloudiness or haze come between the panes of glass on the tripple pane units. Mainly most visible on the sunnier side of the house , I let a few more years go by , thinking there"s nothing wrong with my brand new windows = WRONG ! They lost the Hermetic Seal !! Now there very hazy ! Put warranty claim in for around 19 windows the first time , was informed I would have to pay a FEE , for Handling + Packaging + Crating = $ 2795.00 + taxs. Shipping to Edmonton , on top of this ! Upon our inspection of the glass units = 1 week later = we see a large chip on bottom edge of the bigger unit ! Sylvia says , must have happened in transit ! I say , Not possible = as there were No glass fragments in any of the packaging ! It happened in your factory & then packaged !! Too bad so sad for me ! her word my word ! We put back the flimsy packaging around the perimeter of all the windows & set on a Aframe for a year in my shop. A year later = ALL the remaining windows in the house are showing the sighns of a lost Hermetic Seal more clearly & I have to get warranty on these ! First thing I hear from Sylvia is , FEE"s for Packaging + Handling + Crating = $ 3520.00 . Shipping is of course on top of this ! With shipping , my loss is around $ 10000.00 now in total, This FEE , is just a loss recovery tactic = because this crating isn"t worth $ 200.00 !
> Okay , so now I"m looking to do install on these units & notice 2 windows came in larger then the openings ? I ask sylvia to send me 2 proper window sizes & again about the FEE"s ! She also thinks its right to charge me freight on her mistake ! So I paid for original order + 1st warranty order + 2nd warranty order & now I should pay freight on her mistake ?? Policy Policy is what I get , & thats the end of that !
> Read over the warranty slow & clearly before you make any decision ?? The labor cost of the sealed units , is covered for 2 yrs ? Do you think you will see a Hermetic Seal Loss in the first 2 yrs of purchase , not likely ? ! Start having a good inspection of the Hermetic Seal prior to 2 yrs = as Labor costs are an additional large chunk of money ! IF YOU LOOK AT REVIEWS FOR WINDOWS ? MAKE SURE THEY ARE AT LEAST 2-3 YRS OLD !! EVERYTHING WHEN NEW IS NICE & SHINY , UNTIL THEY ARN"T !!! GOOD LUCK

> I recently purchased a full window package for my personal house and am extremely satisfied with our choice to use Fibertec. The product is top notch and a fantastic alternative to vinyl or wood. We were looking for a custom colour option and Fibertec was one of the only companies that took the time to make it happen. They have great attention to detail, service and turnaround times. Even when there was one very small issue with the order it was dealt with immediately and the owner even reached out directly to ensure our satisfaction.
>
> If you plan to use Fibertec make sure to request Roy Pontino as your design/sales consultant. He went above and beyond on many occasions to make sure everything was perfect. I have already had many people ask where we got the windows as they are of such high quality and design.
>
> Also, If other reviews making negative comments about the screens catch your eye, disregard them. The screens in our casement windows are some of the best I’ve seen, and it was one thing I was very picky about when choosing a company.

> Great experience! Our sales associate Roy came to our home to estimate a renovation and was super helpful, friendly and knowledgable. The doors and windows we chose are beautiful and we are extremely satisfied with the job! Would highly recommend!

> My husband is an Engineer, which has rubbed off on me. I tend to research everything in great detail. I discovered benefits and advantages of fiberglass compared to other frame materials. Amongst the companies I looked into, was Fibertec. I liked the slim lines and the rigid frames. Most of the windows I got are casements and fixed. The installers did a great job, and cleaned everything before they left. Yes, I'm very happy with my purchase and I highly recommend Fibertec .

**Comment from Fibertec Window and Door Mfg:**

> We are so glad to hear your feedback! Enjoy your products for years to come.
>
> Best regards!

> Used their Windows for new home build. Windows great BUT screen poorly designed. Significant gaps between the window frame and screen frame. Mosquitoes, moths, spiders got in easily. Fibertec's solution: a roll of foam tape that we had to apply to the entire perimeter of the screens. It didn't work, bugs still got in. Their excuses: "window screens can't keep all bugs out; you must live in a place with lots of bugs; the tape worked for other customers". We Insisted they make new screens; they dragged their feet and said things like: "shipping the screens will be expensive; oh, you have a truck to pick them up yourselves BUT you'll have to bring the old screens back and then wait around for 2-3hrs while we get your screens". In the end, our builder dealt with them and got new screens for all the windows. They fit better and foam tape is only needed at the top of the screens instead of the entire perimeter to get rid of the gaps.
> In the end, their window screen design are significantly flawed. Use this window if you live in a large urban area where there are NO bugs or never open your windows in the summer.
