They dealt with some challenging constraints and designs and performed smoothly during the pandemic. Amazing craftsmanship, speed and quality. A year later and we still recommend them very highly. > > We hope to work with them again soon! **★★★★★ — HU-503088942, Feb. 2021** > MK Construction did a wonderful job on my kitchen renovation this year of 2021! Not only the service of managing the project but also the quality of the outcome was great. Marek always promptly answered to my questions all the time and handled the project smoothly in order to complete the project on time. Robert also did a wonderful job. He is a highly skilled contractor who works diligently and carefully on every task he touches and creates the value on the products he work on. I love my new kitchen and am thankful that I could meet this great team at MK Construction for my renovation project. I will strongly recommend MK Construction with Marek and his crews to anyone who has a construction project in the future. **★★★★★ — Pier Deganello, Dec. 2019** > Purchased newly built home from MK and love the attention to detail and airy construction. Special thanks to Derek for all his assistance after the purchase addressing odds and ends! **★★★★★ — Albert Wang, Sept. 2019** > 5 stars experience working with MK Construction. The ownership team for our project consists of architects and investors who are knowledgable of residential construction. MK sets themselves above other GCs by being able to execute and complete the projects within the schedule and budget, and at a level of quality that any owner can feel at ease with. We picked them because of their ability to mobilize fast, and we were very impressed. Their subcontractors are very knowledgable of their trades, and their project manager, Tom, was excellent at coordinating the trades as well as keeping the owners on task with what we needed to provide. The MK team is also very well informed of market trends for aesthetics and styles, which is very helpful when making field decisions/changes. Overall they produced a very well crafted product. We also felt that MK handled change orders and other issues with fairness and professionalism. We will definitely use MK Construction for further projects. **★★★★★ — Gary Gray, May 2019** > We used MK for a major exterior project at our hotel. As usual with large projects issues and challenges arose that were no fault of MK. They worked through every issue and used their experience and resources to resolve every issue that arose. They completed the job on time and within budget and we are very happy with the end result. The Project Manager Marek is one of the most patient people we have ever dealt with and he is a problem solver. We highly recommend them **★★★★★ — User, Feb. 2018** > We chose MK Construction to build our forever home as I have observed their modern design and quality construction all over Chicago neighborhoods for many years. > > MK Construction was flawless in quick communication, precise budgeting, and they have a keen eye for detail. > Our project manager, Walter kept us informed with weekly meetings and everyday meetings as it came close to finish. MK Construction had a precise schedule and finished our home on time. > The Mk Construction crew and their subcontractors are very talented and respectful to the project environment. > They also have a great one year home warranty that shows their dedication and pride for their completed work. > I was confident in trusting MK Construction to build our home and our family is highly satisfied how they translated our vision into reality. > Their exceptional craftmanship have made our home a statement to the neighborhood. > We are amazed everyday that we get to live in this dream home! > I highly recommend MK Construction - they go above and beyond in home building! **★★★★★ — Michael Han, Nov. 2017** > Super happy with MK and the team. Highly professional and detail oriented. Marek, my project manager, worked really with my architect who had a lot of small details in the plans. I travel a lot for work and between MK and my architect, I felt comfortable being out of town so much during a gut rehab and addition (we only kept was 3 of 4 exterior walls and a garage). > > The folks that MK brought in, from electricians to plumbers to painters, were highly professional and took pride in the quality of their work. **★★★★★ — Joshua Dipzinski, Sept. 2017** > We met with MK construction on what seemed an endless series of already contingent homes. We were able to get with them before they started their next project. They customized every potential item I requested. That includes a personal full bar with kegerater! These guys are professional and their quality is unmatched. They provide a one year warranty and sadly I only used it for silly things like caulking a tub, because everything has been flawless. **★★★★★ — Marques Moore, Sept. 2015** > MK Construction remodeled my kitchen. This project included new cabinets, countertops, under cabinet lighting, installation of recessed lighting, painting, installation of new appliances. They were very professional, stayed on budget and within specified timeline. I would definitely use them again when it is time to update bathroom. **★★★★★ — menachemp, Aug. 2015** > The MK Construction team treats their clients and business partners the way they treat each other, as family. Any construction project will have complexities, but, similar to family, its about how you navigate through a situation that truly matters. On over 100 projects that MK has handled for us, we have been successful and continue to work together. **★★★★★ — agawojtycza, Aug. 2015** > I hired Mk Construction & Builders Inc to replace roof on my house. I was very satisfied with the service, very professional. ## Selected projects - [Love Your Living Room](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/love-your-living-room-pj-vj~1584388) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 8 - [Stairway(s) to Heaven](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/stairways-to-heaven-pj-vj~1584548) - Location: Chicago, IL - Photos: 29 - [Bathrooms](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/bathrooms-pj-vj~1270768) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 80 - [Kitchen](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/kitchen-pj-vj~1270990) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 113 - [Exterior](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/exterior-pj-vj~1270609) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 32 - [Fireplaces](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/fireplaces-pj-vj~6648549) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 6 - [Bedrooms](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/bedrooms-pj-vj~6627292) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 3 - [Hallways/Entryways](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/hallways-entryways-pj-vj~6627290) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 1 - [Dining Rooms](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/dining-rooms-pj-vj~6627288) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 4 [See all 9 projects](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/general-contractors/mk-construction-and-builders-inc-pfvwus-pf~2047365878) ## Ideabooks - [Bridgeview Office](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/134381850/list/bridgeview-office) — 5 ideas - [Wish List](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/151576997/list/wish-list) — 4 ideas - [Bedroom](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/76902438/list/bedroom) — 9 ideas - [Floor Lamps](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/79744884/list/floor-lamps) — 3 ideas - [Dining/Living](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/77635337/list/dining-living) — 3 ideas - [marzenamkconstruction's Ideas](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/77485026/list/marzenamkconstruction-s-ideas) — 1 idea - [Living room](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/71827385/list/living-room) — 18 ideas - [Halllway](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/68773368/list/halllway) — 17 ideas [See all 8 ideabooks](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/users/marzenamkconstruction) ## Community Q&A **Q: Backsplash details?** *(in Photo Questions)* Can you tell me the details on the backsplash?
