**★★★★★ — Cherri Bolling, Nov. 2024**

> We couldn't be more pleased with the work of our construction manager, Josh, throughout the entire process of building our new home. From the very beginning, he took the time to understand our vision and ensured every detail was carefully considered. His communication was top-notch, keeping us informed at every stage of the build—whether it was about timelines, progress updates, or any adjustments that needed to be made, (we had several change orders).
>
> What really set Josh apart was his attention to detail and commitment to quality. He personally ensured that all of our custom features were carried out exactly as we envisioned. His hands-on approach and proactive problem-solving gave us confidence that the project was in the best possible hands. We always felt supported and heard, and his leadership ensured that everything was completed to our expectations.
>
> We are thrilled with our new home and grateful for the exceptional management and professionalism Josh brought to the project. Highly recommend!

> This was our first custom build. We worked with Ron on design. His valuable experiences helped us finalize the design in three meetings. It was exactly what we envisioned. Ken was our project manager. We were very happy to work with him. He was exceptional and very responsive to the issues during the construction. Cascade West will be our choice if we build again — Wayne Y.

**★★★★★ — Jonathan Bailor, July 2024**

> We recently had the pleasure of working with Serge from Cascade West, who served as the project manager for our new home. From start to finish, Serge went above and beyond any and all expectations to ensure that we built our dream home.
>
> His dedication, attention to detail, and personal commitment were evident in every aspect of the project. Serge's professionalism and expertise made a significant difference, allowing us to complete our home with exceptional quality and within the desired timeframe.
>
> Having worked with many people across different careers, I can honestly say that Serge is one of the top 10 most competent and extraordinary human beings I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Both personally and professionally, he stands out as a true leader and an exceptional individual.
>
> My family and I are forever indebted to Serge for his hard work and dedication. We are deeply appreciative of his efforts and the incredible support we received from the entire Cascade West team. Thank you, Serge, for making our dream home a reality.

> This was our first custom build. We knew we wanted Cascade West to build it and we brought our plan to Ron. We asked him to help us build an ADU into the plan for my mom. He did an exceptional job listening to our needs and perfecting the plan. Caleb, our project manager did a fantastic job staying in touch and leading us through the project. And…getting us in on time! The finished house is everything we dreamed of! Thank you, Cascade West!

**★★★★★ — Maribonn Tiangson-Uy, Oct. 2023**

> The main reason why we are giving 5 stars is because of our PM Kenneth Viola. He really took care of us during the build. He would ease our anxiety and give us reassurance for every concern. We call him our “Uncle Ken”.
>
> It has been 4 months since we moved in to our beautiful home. Watching the build from start to finish and finally moving in is such a great feeling.
>
> We were pretty much hands on during the build and this is the main advice we would like to give any future custom home owner. Our PM Ken also gave us great advice during the build - like better stone placement to give huge impact without breaking the bank, where to spend more money vs saving, etc.
>
> We were also able to meet great people during the build. It was a very enjoyable experience for us.
>
> Thank you Cascade West for building us our beautiful home and most of all, thank you to our project manager Kenneth Viola for everything! Do not retire yet as we might wanna do this again soon! ♥️

> This is the second home we’ve had built by Cascade West Development (CWD). Our Project Manager was Ken Viola and we worked with Jason on the design for both homes.
>
> The quality of our home is impeccable and the attention to detail has been second to none. Naturally there are many things at the final walk through that requires additional attention, but for us, all issues were resolved over time though their quality manager Kristen G.
>
> Before, during and after the build process, CWD provided us continuous updates in reference to our initial budget to avoid any financial surprises at the end. Subsequently, the completion of our home came in under budget.
>
> Our project manager Ken met often with us to share his thoughts and ideas on design improvements during the construction process. Leveraging his years of experience Ken was able to provide cost effective solutions to both simple and complex problems. A few examples are: 1) upgrading the power requirements for our predominantly all electric home, 2) using a stamped, waterproof, concrete deck instead of composite decking materials, 3) the 4-4-7 siding pattern added a noticeable unique front elevation style to our home and 4) insulating our garage and plumbing it for heat for the future. These were just a few of the great ideas that we took advantage of thanks to Ken’s advice and experience.
>
> The value of our custom home continues to grow and without a doubt our neighbors and community as a whole, appreciate CWD’s quality construction and professionalism and cleanliness of their subcontractors.
>
> My wife and I highly recommend the Cascade West Development team for your custom home build!

**★★★★★ — CJ Jen, Oct. 2023**

> Great job, would use again for a custom home. Glad project is done in a professional manner and in time.

**★★★★★ — Tyson Fuehrer, Sept. 2023**

> Ken was great to work with! Like a duck on water. Really appreciate the process to make our home ours!

> Absolutely the worst experience we've ever had building a home. Their project managers are never on-site, they blew through contracted budgets that required owner approval and then said the reason was that they were "in a hurry". Our master shower has leaked for at least 6 months and caused damage to the subfloor, insulation, and now mold has developed - they tore it up to find the leak and then said we had to pay to fix it despite it being their design flaw - we still don't have use of our master shower. We're out over $40K in overages and damages, yet they won't respond to us or our attorney so we move to the next step.

**Comment from Cascade West Development:**

> Hi Matthew,
>
> First, I want to thank you for sharing your thoughts. While not always pleasant to read, feedback from owners does allow Cascade West to assess customer satisfaction and develop new ways to achieve its goal of pleasing all of its owners. It is a core value at Cascade West to strive for 100% satisfaction with both its homes and the process of getting from start to finish.
>
> To achieve this core value, Cascade West ensures its project managers are on-site regularly and conduct scheduled walk-throughs with our clients. With respect to these efforts, we have received praise for attention to detail and careful oversight, and we stand by the work of our project managers wholeheartedly.
>
> With respect to budget allowances, we always inform new clients that allowances are merely estimates and that there is always the potential for additional costs when unforeseen circumstances are encountered. Cascade West always makes every effort to complete each task in the most cost effective manner possible, but in your case each of the items at issue proved more costly than either you or Cascade West had expected. Neither you nor Cascade West had any real choice in the matter as the items needed to be completed to move forward with the home, and the costs associated with completion were kept as low as possible. It is important to note that allowances can work both ways. Any task subject to an allowance that is completed for less than the allocated allowance amount results in a credit to the owner. The unfortunate reality of construction is that not all estimates can be made with 100% precision and as a result there are some unavoidable overages (as well as times where credits are given).
>
> As for the issues with the master bathroom and leaking showerhead, after multiple inspections it was determined that the issue was the result of calcium build-up and lack of homeowner maintenance. Overspray related to this condition, as well as use of all showerheads simultaneously, caused water to escape the shower enclosure area and bypass the waterproofed section. Despite the fact that the warranty window had expired, and this particular issue was not covered under your warranty, we did offer two solutions at no cost to you: (1) installing a tile curb; or (2) installing a hinged glass door. You declined both of these solutions. Nevertheless, we are still open to working with you on these issues.
>
> In the end, we are very sorry that you feel the way you do regarding your experience with Cascade West and we encourage further communication with our Warranty Department (our Warranty Department had not heard from you in nearly 8 weeks). We remain committed to the satisfaction of our clients and welcome further dialogue.

> This was our first custom build and Cascade West could not have been a better partner. The designs and construction are exceptional, and Serge was a professional, thoughtful, and responsive project manager. We get so many compliments on our new home, if we build again Cascade West will be our choice. - KG

**Comment from Cascade West Development:**

> Thanks so much KG!
> We really appreciate the opportunity you gave us to build your home and have to agree with your friends & family - it is gorgeous! We'll be sure to let Serge know that his efforts were appreciated. He cares deeply about each customer journey and we know he'll be very happy to hear how pleased you are ESPECIALLY because this was your first custom home. Of course we would love the opportunity to build another custom home for you in the future and get even more beautiful pictures! You've been great to work with and we're really proud of the project. Take care & we'll be in touch!

> We love our new house! We moved in about 3 months ago and couldn’t be happier. Our last house was a Cascade West model, but this was our first custom build. There is so much involved in the building process, but what’s great is that CW allows you to have as much input into what you want. It depends on your budget, but they can lay out the pricing and options for you way in advance. I will say we did a lot of extensive options to our home and I know that not every builder will allow that. That’s part of what’s so great about them. But if you don’t want to put in upgrades, they don’t make you or try to over sell it. That’s why I liked working with them. Most of all, the quality of what CW puts into their homes is bar none. No other builder includes the level of upgrades they include even in their base package. We did have some hiccups along the way, but the bottom line is they made everything right in the end. We even have an assigned post closing contact at CW who handles any little issues after move in. They sent out someone who took care of a flickering light for us and also someone to adjust our heating system to work more efficiently. No other builder does this! Plus the value of their finished product lasts. I know from selling our last CW home. I am a CW fan for the long haul. Thank you, again, Brent, Jason, Konrad, Janet, and Darla!

**Comment from Cascade West Development:**

> Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on the journey with us Aaron! We’re very happy to hear that you’re pleased with your new custom home and we could deliver a high quality product that fits all your needs. We really appreciate you taking the time to share and will be sure to notify the rest of the team with the great job they did. Thanks again Aaron - we’ll be in touch for some photos!

**★★★★★ — Brittany Kiso, July 2019**

> We are about 3 months into our newly built home (first ever build). While building for a first home may seen like a large undertaking, Jason took the time to customize floor plans to our exact specifications. He never made us feel like we were bothering him with minute changes to our floor plan or asking him to tweak something that just didn't feel right. Loren was also an amazing superintendent. Very attentive to detail and most of all, patient. As first-time home builders, it is needless to say we had many concerns and DUMB questions. Looking back, they were dumb. However, Loren never once made it seem like we were inconveniencing him, despite the many changes, phone calls and texts along the way. He was always very upfront about getting us ballpark pricing before giving him the "green light" and respected that we were trying to be budget-conscious, while still building our dream home.
>
> While all of the Cascade West employees we worked with were professional and patient, the subs were also equally attentive and communicative. Most of all, they were on time! The framers literally worked Thanksgiving Day as well as many weekends. Jason estimated our project would take 5.5-6months and it was just about exactly 6 months despite our many changes and additions.
>
> Have already recommended Cascade West to both my sister, parents and coworkers all looking to build in the area. Well done!

**Comment from Cascade West Development:**

> Thanks so much for sharing your experience Brittany! So happy you enjoyed creating your stunning home! We'll be sure Jason & Loren read-up on this great review :) !

## Community Q&A

**Q: Do you recall the tile on the fireplace?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I am building a modern farmhouse and did a linear fireplace with a sealskin (dark brown) shiplap bump out, very similar to in this picture. I did an encaustic tile, and it just looks awful. So I'm looking for a tile like this which cleans the look up, and goes quite well.

A: Hi John, unfortunately I don't have the tile selections on hand for this home! Sorry I can't be of more help.

**Q: backsplash** *(in Photo Questions)*

who makes this backsplash?

A: Hi Stephanie! The Backsplash pictured here is Bedrosians "Cloe" White, Glossy, 2.5"x8" tile

**Q: Master Bath Paint** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the color on the master bath walls?

A: Sorry, I don't have that information on hand for this particular home!

**Q: Please tell me the roof brand/ color you used with this exterior** *(in Photo Questions)*

described as Urbane Bronze. Thanks

A: Hello! Unfortunately I don't know the roofing brand used on this house. The color in the selections sheets we have on file is simply listed as "Black/Charcoal". Urbane Bronze refers to the Sherwin Williams Paint Color (medium grey) used as an accent color. Hope that helps!

**Q: Shower Dimensions** *(in Photo Questions)*

I really like the non-traditional shower head and control location. Can you please share the overall shower dimensions as well as the dividing wall dimensions? Thank you!!

A: According to the plans for this home, the overall shower dimensions are 3'10" x 6'6". The height of the dividing wall is 6'8". Hope that helps!

**Q: garage doors on gorgeous home** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hello! Beautiful house! I am loving these garage doors. Would you mind sharing brand and model used? Thank you!

A: Thank you Kristyn. We use Wayne Dalton garage doors. Looks like this is Model 9800.
