> I had an extremely disappointing experience with Amanda George Interior Design. From start to finish, this project was plagued with unprofessionalism, negligence, and poor communication. The most glaring issues were the rookie measurement errors that resulted in significant delays and over $10,000 in unforeseen expenses. Key errors included an incorrectly sized island panel, misaligned upper cabinets, an off-center sink cabinet, and miscolored cabinets—all of which required costly, time-consuming adjustments. Additionally, the use of MDF for baseboards was not adequately explained, leading to further issues given its poor durability in moisture-prone areas. To make matters worse, I am still missing critical trim panels and cabinet pieces, leaving the project incomplete months past its original August completion date.

> This was an expensive project, costing me $50,000, and I expected far more attention to detail and professionalism. These mistakes led to major complications that even required intervention from other companies, such as Crystal Cabinets, who had to step in and work around her team’s errors. Despite repeated attempts to address these issues, Amanda’s follow-up was minimal at best. Her refusal to take responsibility for the measurement and design errors—claiming they were installation issues despite clear evidence to the contrary—only added to my frustration. Choosing another contractor for installation was my decision due to her exorbitant quote, but this does not absolve her team from the initial errors that set the project back.

> We recently relocated to the area and purchased a new home in a very competitive market.  After already being exhausted from that process; I knew I needed to hire a designer to help make our new house a home.  I turned to Houzz to help find one.  I focused on Amanda pretty quickly, had a phone consultation and hired her right away.  This was my first time using a designer and Amanda helped me narrow down where to best spend our money: we focused on interior/exterior color story, new paint and carpet entire house, update powder room, add architectural detail to dining room, and other misc. details.  Plus, she managed the trades (that alone was worth it as I would still be getting quotes!) and they were all professional & friendly.  She pushed me design wise (I learned neutral is not always white/beige), I made (for me) bold decisions that I am now thrilled with, but did not push a /her design style, but more design philosophy.   In the end, she led me to make smart decisions (spend here/save here) which is appreciated and we will be using her again when we remodel the kitchen and other bathrooms.

> We hired Amanda George when we moved in the new home in Maple Valley. We wanted to make our home a beautiful yet comfortable and well-organized place to live, and as we are the family of 4 (2 parents and 2 small kids of age 1 and 4), that was a challenge. The scope of the work was the main floor (entrance, dining area, family room area) and all the windown in the house. Amanda was great: she came up with multiple ideas and guided us thrrough the process helping to identify what we liked and what not. With my spouse and I liking different things that was yet another challenge. She explained how things worked on her end, handled all the contractor work that was probably not as easy given the lockdown situation we had in 2020, but for us that was transparent and effortless. I especially love the window treatments and I get tons of comliments. Overal we got the house we love to live in and I'm looking forward to having more projects with Amanda.

> Amanda George was the designer for our kitchen remodel. The kitchen had the original 1940 layout. There was nothing that was not improved when the project was complete. Lighting, traffic flow, flooring, windows, appliances. Countertop area was doubled, and cabinets tripled with great space saving features. Amanda walked us through appliance and countertop selection, backsplash tile and color scheme. All within the same footprint as the original kitchen. She was our advocate when dealing with the contractor. Amanda is always cheerful and professional. We have received nothing but the highest compliments on the new kitchen.
>  We hired Amanda again as designer decorator for a living room /dinning room remodel. Amanda did a fantastic job. These rooms look cheery, bright, updated. Amanda walked us through furniture selection, colors, wall décor and fireplace mantle redesign. We could not be more pleased with the transformation.

> Amanda George came highly recommended to me through a friend & now I'm pleased to recommend her to others.  The project we chose was a master bathroom remodel due to it being outdated & having a leaky shower.  Throughout the design process, Amanda listened carefully to what I wanted and tactfully offered suggestions of her own.  She was able to whip up free hand drawings to help me picture the end results.  She then took those drawings & plugged them into a computerized design program to create several layouts: accessories, plumbing, lighting, painting, millwork, etc.  One of her best pieces of advice was to not skimp on fixtures.  I love the solid, sturdy feel of all the faucets & handles we chose together.  She also came up with a floating shower bench that's super cool & also gives the shower a bigger feel than one with a traditional bench.  Most importantly, when my health took an unexpected turn, Amanda became a dear friend.  I had to temporarily put the project on hold due to a cancer diagnosis.  Amanda was very understanding & patient, sending me emails asking how I was doing; never pressuring me to continue the project.  When I recovered from chemo, she was ready to pick up where we left off.  I trusted her to communicate firmly & clearly with contractors as needed.  The end result is a beautiful luxury master bath; more gorgeous than I could have imagined.  It's a joy to show off her work when we have guests over & they swoon over my bathroom! I have not hesitated to give them Amanda's contact info.  She's SO talented!

We chose fossilized bamboo floors, which we found out during the project are not the easiest product to cut and work with. Amanda insisted we not settle on our dream and found a contractor who could put his talent and artistic expertise to work for us. The result was better than we ever thought possible with a beautiful custom railing, staircase and floors, which brought the contemporary look we were looking for. I need to know if the Granite is Giallo Veronia and does iGiallo Veronia go with off white cabinets?

A: Hello Gerri,  Yes this is Giallo Verona Granite with an ogee edge.  If you view other pictures of this kitchen the perimeter cabinets are off-white/cream with a mocha glaze and the countertops go beautifully
