It turned out to be a great decision! Kiirsten did a wonderful job assessing our needs and listening to our wants. The design process was made easy for us and we worked through changes and made final decisions. While what we desired did cost almost double what we initially thought we wanted to spend, Kiirsten was very good about explaining the costs and helping us decide on the priorities. The working relationship between Kiirsten and Jeff worked so well. Too often you hear blaming between a designer and contractor but in this partnership, they worked the plan that was set out and they kept us in the loop on any delays. Every day, Jeff inspected the contractor's work and ensured the work site was cleaned up. This was so beneficial for us as we were living in the home during the remodel. I love working with Kiirsten and Jeff for it is concierge service of the highest order. Kiirsten is a design wizard; at least she knows how to read me and my eye, over six years I've been working with her. She brings ideas and materials to my kitchen counter, where I can decide. We met at the Design Center in Denver once so I could actually sit on the kitchen stools I ended up ordering. In the execution, she always kept me informed of what was happening, and because you always depend on many parties, delays happen, and she never hides or makes excuses. Just the facts and thank you very much. Our most recent project involved tearing out two panels of four doors and installing folding Nanawall doors. This entailed coordination with product coming from Germany, installers coming from Denver, along with Jeff's local framers and stucco repair people. Impeccable site cleanup all during the process, and thoughtful problem-solving. We are absolutely thrilled with the results. As for budget, the bid was timely, and billed according to expectations. They showed unusual restraint in not billing the final 1/4 until every single punch list item was handled. I don't have a framework to judge fairness of pricing but I will say that the quality of the experience is worth paying for and I"m delighted to pay it.
