The basement, first floor and part of the second floor were completely gutted, a new concrete slab was put in the basement and reinforced steel joists replaced the old and termite damaged joists. New walls, new floors, all new finishes were put in the basement and first floor, new kitchen, powder rooms (basement and first fl) and a new bathroom was installed on the second floor. New electrical and plumbing throughout and new stucco and paint on back facade. Our project was extensive because we decided to gut 2 floors and most of the basement. We also replaced the windows, heating, cooling, plumbing, and electric. We did plenty of research before the project started however we still needed a lot of assistance planning the material purchasing timeline, acquiring certain difficult items, and choosing the types of materials. Emiliano Construction was able to help in very aspect and provided multiple suggestions / options throughout the entire project. We never felt pressured to make any choices and it was only based on what we wanted. There was always a high and low, a pro and con, discussion when we needed to make a decision. The contract was clear and descriptive. As with many renovations, unexpected situations (such as uncovering disintegrated basement drainage pipes) often arise and Daniel was diligent in notifying us with about issues and multiple solutions were always provided. The best part of working with Emiliano Construction was the response time. Whether we texted, called, or e-mailed, Daniel always responded immediately or within the same day. We also made good use of google sheets. Daniel was also very flexible and available with scheduling meetings to review the progress. We felt very much like friends throughout this whole renovation and we plan to work with them in the future.
