> It is with the greatest enthusiasm that I write about Peter Kress and his magnificent creations. I recently moved to an apartment and I needed a built in kitchen table as well as a large bookcase running throughout the hall. Peter designed and made both, carefully paying attention to the woods in the apartment as well as its architectural design. He told me exactly when the work would be completed and honored his date. I cannot begin to enumerate the compliments his work has received—from the managers of my apartment building to friends who have come to visit, to workmen whose expertise enabled them to fully appreciate Peter’s workmanship, careful attention to detain, superb knowledge of different woods, and brilliant aesthetic taste. I have encountered no other furniture maker whose exquisite craftsmanship matches that of Peter Kress.

**★★★★★ — Chris Hutchison, April 2018**

> I have hired Pete for four different jobs in my house and have been completely thrilled with his work every time. He is a real pro. He shows up on time and has completed every job when promised. I would absolutely not hesitate to hire Pete again.

**★★★★★ — K. Isabelle, March 2018**

> Kress woodworking renovated our kitchen and built a beautiful mahogany and ebony dining room table. The craftsmanship is outstanding. Peter is an extremely talented, reliable professional who takes pride in his work. So will you!

**★★★★★ — Chris Doremus, March 2018**

> Peter transformed our rather ordinary living room into cozy room with a lit of pop! We are not very creative people, we told Peter what we were looking for and what we got blew us away. The level if detail in his work was so surprising. Our home was built in 1924 and the built in needed to look like the rest of the house, they look like they have always been there! It definitely added to the value of our property! We would recommend Kress Woodworking very highly!!

**★★★★★ — Arteriors Designer Finishes, Feb. 2018**

> We worked with Peter Kress before and hired him to build out the kitchen in our century old farmhouse.
> He is not your average carpenter. He is an artist with excellent attention to detail.
> We purchased antique cabinets and trimmed them out with molding to fit them perfectly, making them appear to have always been here. He even added trim (without us asking him to) to finish an end grain piece of wood perfectly even though it’s only seen when we open the drawers.
> Peter made two pieces for us to match a much-loved piece perfectly and they came out even better than the original. His work is amazing, clever, real art and we highly recommend him for any carpentry projects!

**★★★★★ — Bebeaux Remodel, Feb. 2018**

> Peter Kress is just one of those amazingly talented craftsman that really understands the whole picture. His classical training at North Bennett St School shows through in every thing he does. Pete has completed numerous projects for our remodeling company over the years and his skills have graced many clients homes. On a recent west of Boston addition, Pete’s interior finish work was so astounding, the building inspector was speechless and declared it the most beautiful room he had ever walked in.

> Peter Kress Woodworking built our cherry wood bannister in our split level home. He also restored an antique hallseat, even fabricating a missing arm in order to complete the piece. He is an artist, builder, finisher, woodworker, and designer. Excellent!

**★★★★★ — Linda Hargrove, Jan. 2018**

> Meticulous! Expert! Talented! Has done renovation work for us in the past and just made a beautiful custom bathroom double vanity for our remodeled bathroom. I had him copy a picture off of Houzz.com. Very happy.

**★★★★★ — TCB C, Jan. 2018**

> Pete is an outstanding craftsman, artisan, and professional. We have commissioned many pieces of furniture from Pete, included an entire 20' X 45' mahogany paneled library (see his website and attached). His artistry, creativity, and diligence is exceeded only by his efficient and strong service mentality. I am happy to endorse him 100%
