> Native Plant Scapes created three garden beds for us as well as a pollinator garden. Rob and Shyon were very knowledgeable and had great suggestions for a variety of plants so that we always have something blooming in the garden. The beds have filled in nicely, and we have had so many bees in our yard this year! Rob and Shyon were a pleasure to work with - they showed up on time, were excellent communicators, and did beautiful work. I highly recommend Native Plant Scapes!

**★★★★★ — Susan, Sept. 2026**

> We used Native Plant Scapes to replace a section of lawn and a small pollinator garden in the fall of 2025. Not only does this new garden look more cohesive, but it has also attracted far more butterflies than we ever had before. Rob and his team were very responsive to our requests during the design and installation of this new garden. We are very happy and would recommend them to friends and neighbors.

**★★★★★ — HU-40359845, May 2026**

> After nearly ten years of being passionate about native plants, I finally came to terms with something important: I didn’t have the design skills to bring my vision to life. That’s when I found Rob Severynse of Native Plant Scapes on Google Maps, and it turned out to be exactly the right call.
> From the very first visit, Rob impressed me. He came out to our home and took the time to truly understand what we were looking for — asking about our planting preferences, our interest in pollinator-friendly species, and carefully surveying both the front and backyard to assess sun exposure around the house. He listened, he asked the right questions, and he clearly knew his craft inside and out.
> The result was a beautiful native garden that was everything I had envisioned but couldn’t execute on my own. But what truly sets Rob apart is his commitment after the sale. He guarantees all of his plantings, and has followed through on that promise — coming back to our home twice over the past year to replace any plants that didn’t take from the initial planting. That kind of accountability and professionalism is rare, and it speaks volumes about his integrity.
> Beyond all of that, Rob is simply a pleasure to work with. His warmth and passion for what he does make the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish.
> If you’ve been dreaming about a native garden but don’t know where to start — or you simply want someone who will stand behind their work — Rob Severynse at Native Plant Scapes is your person. I couldn’t be more pleased.

**★★★★★ — HU-34166803, Nov. 2025**

> Fantastic price and great to work with. Can’t wait to see the full bloom in a few years. Will definitely rehire in the future.

**★★★★★ — MD, Sept. 2025**

> We are repeat clients of Native Plant Scapes and highly recommend them for native landscape design and installation. We are pleased with the excellent work they have done adding new beds, expanding existing beds with additional plantings, and adding pathways throughout. Owner Rob is extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about native species and local ecology. He has done a great job balancing our requests to select species that benefit wildlife, have a broad range of bloom times and foliage variety, and provide winter interest. Rob took the time to understand what we were trying to accomplish, both short and longer term, and we appreciate his patience fielding our many questions and running down certain species we were eager to include in the yard. Compared to our experiences with other native plant landscapers in the area, Native Plant Scapes provides great value. Plants are of high quality and their services are reasonably priced. We look forward to working with them for years to come.

**★★★★★ — Ian, June 2025**

> Would highly recommend these folks. Robert was a joy to work with. He was honest, knowledgeable and genuinely delightful to be around. We have a tiny backyard with odd mixes of shade and direct sunlight and he found the right plants for each area. He was patient with our MANY questions and offered sound advice. I would venture to say these folks are the best native landscape designers in the DMV.

**★★★★★ — mdarvish, Aug. 2022**

> They came to our house and spent a lot of time getting to know us to truly understand what we were looking for. Low maintenance. Keep the snakes away. Lots of color. They talked us through different options until we all agreed on one. They worked fast. Cleaned up everything. Pricing was affordable. All in all, a great experience. We are very happy with NPS

**★★★★★ — Josiane Richter, Aug. 2022**

> Rob and his team were very professional and they communicated well and I am very happy with the work they did for me.
> There is something always blooming in the native garden they planted for me. I highly recommend Native Plant Scapes.

**★★★★★ — Shelley B Roth, Aug. 2022**

> Rob and Shyon at Native Plant Scapes did a fantastic job in our side yard. They removed stubborn unwanted invasive vines and shrubs, preserved the existing desired plantings, and added a beautiful native plant garden to fill in the space, including mulch to finish the project. They were extremely professional, kept us informed of their work at all times, and worked very neatly. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to beautify their outdoor space with gorgeous plants!

**★★★★★ — Sarah, Aug. 2022**

> My husband and I wanted a fresh look in our backyard garden. We were immediately drawn to Native Plant Scapes with their focus on supporting endangered plants and wildlife native to Maryland.
>
> It was clear, even from the first visit, that Robby and Shyon have a vision and passion for what they do.
>
> I received detailed information about the types of plants that would be used, along with how these plants would benefit the ecosystem surrounding them.
>
> The job was completed on time and with minimal interruption to our backyard. It’s been a few months now and the plants/flowers are still thriving with little to no maintenance required.
>
> Our patio is now a source of beauty and conversation. How wonderful to be a part of keeping Maryland truly green!

We removed the tree stumps, filled in the area with some topsoil (to alleviate the heavy clay), and planted a bunch of spring flowers that lighten up the space before most other plants are blooming. Pinks and yellows are complemented by some deeper purples and whites. We were also able to sustainably source some rare plants for the homeowner.
