> Never ever choose your builder as prominent. Our home has been sold to someone else by the builder in the middle of the deal without notifying us because he is getting more money from other buyers. I believe people should know about this before buying from prominent. builder is threatning us for telling our experience to people instead of fixing this problem.
> Please dont waste your money, alwayz inquire about your builder before putting your money down. This was a huge mistake I made. Ofcourse never going to builder like this in my future.

> Not sure what the Calgary operation is like, but the Edmonton branch is terrible.  They built my home just over 5 years ago and I still do not have everything complete.  I had a total of 96 deficiencies when I moved in and ended up fixing most of them on my own.  The real kicker is that they kept a key to my house after I moved in and came and went as they pleased to fix the few things they did.  I had to change the locks in order to keep them out of my house.  I would strongly recommend finding a different builder in Edmonton than this one.

Unfortunately, this ended up being a bigger task than we were prepared for and also ended up including unexpected complications - so we called around and received a quote from Prominent Homes and other companies. We went with Prominent, not only because their quote was comparable to other companies, but because they were able to deliver and work within a timeline but to also work within our given budget. They were honest and discussed our worries and took the time to discuss what we wanted and our options. Would highly recommend them and would happily work with this company again (although I don't think we will need to in this house as they did a great job!).
