Award-winning Landscape Architecture firm, designing and preserving landscapes, Solange loves what she does, finding pleasure in creation and collaboration. Solange has worked with design teams on Houzz TV projects creating exquisite work.

Solange studied at the University of Buenos Aires completing a program inclusive of architecture, agricultural science, and landscape architecture, with a final thesis in “Healing Gardens”. Solange will provide landscape architecture services as the primary local landscape architect. Solange’s design background focuses on integrating process-design with the ecological concepts and educational opportunities for master planning and landscape design.

She has worked in both private, public and non-profit organization design environments on the community, educational, and agricultural projects. Solange is the principal of Serquis + Associates as well as a very active participant in the community. 

Successful designs should engage the environment, have fluency among history, landforms, and architecture, express rhythm with textures and interest among the seasons. We believe there is a close connection between balancing human needs and preserving what nature has given us to enjoy, and that beautiful surroundings nourish the human spirit. We are passionate about communities, whether they be rural or urban settings. We truly understand the social impact where clear landscape design helps the connection between community and people and learning from the natural and built environment. > Our house sits on a narrow ¼-acre strip of land hemmed in on both sides by Pueblo Canyon and a neighbors’ driveway in Los Alamos, New Mexico.  It was difficult to determine where civilization ended and “the wild” began along the canyon, and we despaired of creating anything attractive in the meager weedy backyard.  When an effort to design a casita that would fit in the back yard failed, the architect’s recommendation to explore landscaping by Serquis + Associates led to amazing results.  Solange and her protégé Yuanhang Guo developed a unique design that incorporated the many elements of our vision, visually blended stucco walls, metal gates and planters with the curves of the house and created a private, peaceful garden that keeps the world at bay while preserving our view of the Sangre de Cristo mountains.  The final achievements were a modern carport that was perfectly content to reside near the stucco garage and an adjacent harmonic fence that is not a fence, a truly elegant finishing touch to an overall remarkable design.  Well done to the very talented, artistic  and professional Serquis + Associates team.

> Our house sits on a large plot of land on the outskirts of Santa Fe, with views extending 50 miles as we look out our window at the Jemez mountains. We loved the natural beauty of the indigenous plants here and enjoy looking at the land as it is. We also wanted the part of the landscape we move around in and frequently look at to create a sense of serenity and natural integration with the immediate surroundings and the BLM land and mountains that are a big part of our views. We also wanted some plants that enhanced the beauty and serenity of those views while providing a curated and organized strong sense of place. Going well beyond delivering excellent outcomes and a house we call our home, she was an engaged, proactive partner at every step of the journey. Of course, the work was top notch but what really impressed us was Solange's sense of space, color, form, and function on everything from the home's stucco finish to the location of each plant and planter to the color mixture of gravel ground cover. I think the same ones appeared in the most recent Western Art and Architecture magazine showcasing a Santa Fe home on which your firm was listed as landscape architects.

A: Hi! the lights are custom design by us and custom made by two of our contractors, in both project similar, but with some custom finishes and sizes making those unique! let us know, give us a call if you need any other detail.
