> We worked with Nancy on a pretty extensive house remodel. We first contacted her on a recommendation from our real-estate agent to help us with furnishing of our new home. She ended up putting together a team of herself, an architect and contractor in a very short time frame so we could get started quickly which in an environment where it's very hard to find anyone available was amazing.
> She worked with the architect to remodel our house: help bring light into a fairly dark house, redo stairs, redesign the fireplace, modernize our kitchen and various other changes. All came out great.
> Nancy saved us tons of time by pre-selecting material for the kitchen (counter top, back splash) and colors for the rest of the house. She also took care of shades. She also found for us someone who could build a custom dining table.
> Once the remodeling was underway Nancy and her (always very helpful) staff helped with the furnishing by sending us selection and adjusting it based on our feedback. Nancy also let us use her warehouse to store our pieces of furniture until the house was ready for them.

> Nancy did a wonderful design both for a large kitchen renovation and an upstairs bathroom.  The kitchen is a masterpiece-it was even on the cover of a design magazine for older homes.  She was very aware of this 1911 Mill Valley home and it arts and crafts heritage and produced a modern kitchen but was respectful of its lineage.  We could not have been happier.  She is a lovely woman and so easy to work with and has a great eye.  There are so many decisions and she helped us novices through this morass of options.

> Nancy Van Natta is a consummate design professional who has worked with me on a number of challenging projects during the past 15 years. In what had originally been a "spec" house on Mt. Tamalpais in Mill Valley, Nancy did an outstanding job of adding riveting architectural elements that boosted my home's uniqueness while adding warmth, character and charm. As many of the rooms opened up to each other in an open plan design, furniture, paint and fabric choices needed to flow and cohere. Nancy did a beautiful job of adding interest and texture to each individual room while having them blend seamlessly with each other and the outdoors.  And while I tend to favor a more traditional design style, my home's architecture is modern. Nancy did a brilliant job of juxtaposing the home's modern sensibilities with timeless pieces and objects with patina. She utilized textural paint treatments and commissioned an artist to design an exquisite silver leaf mirror in my dining room, evoking a warm rather than hard-edged modernism. She did an absolutely brilliant job of redesigning my kitchen and baths, finding space I didn't know I had, opening up mountain views and eliminating superfluous features (the silly wet bar)! The result was, and is, breathtaking.

**Q: who made this beautiful hood?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Is it plaster?

A: It was made by the cabinet maker.  It is wood, painted the same as the cabinets.

**Q: What is the wall color?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Looks amazing. Any chance you can share the color and brand? Thanks!

A: The brand is C2 and the color is Glacial Stream. Good luck with it.

**Q: How was the sink fabricated? Is it an undermount?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The sink was fabricated by a stone fabricator.  The sink is integral with the counter and made from one slab.  You have to work with a stone guy who knows how to do these so that they drain properly.

**Q: Chandelier** *(in Photo Questions)*

Who is the manufacturer of the twig chandelier?

A: I'm sorry I no longer have the name of the manufacturer of this chandelier.  We had it spray painted white which made it kind of a chic for this cottage, and everyone loves it.

**Q: What tile is this?  Beautiful blue.** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The floor tile is a standard penny round with an off-white grout.  Hope that helps!

**Q: Love the gate. Can you tell me who manufactures the latch hardware?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: I'm not sure who does that latch but I know there are lots of them out there.  The contractor provided this one.  The gate is low so I asked him to use a top-mounted latch.
