> Phillips Garden did a full backyard remodel in summer 2015 - turned our crappy amateur patio, hafl-century-old cement walkway, and weed-infested lump green space into a beautiful bluestone garden paradise. They were very patient with our changing desires & budget, and were extremely thorough and diligent getting the project done (early!). The designers came up with a wonderful creative "circle" design to leverage our topography, and the garden folks planted 600 (!) perennials in beautiful ways that enhanced our vision. Their build & maintenance staff are all pros - it was a wonderful project, and we still use them on an annual basis.

**Q: What is the low ground covers to the right of the path?** *(in Photo Questions)*

There are two: one is dee green, with round smooth edged leaves and the other is a yellow-red leaf, in which the leaf shape is divided into sections, (like an oak or maple for example)

A: The plant with yellow-red foliage is Heuchera 'Caramel'. Thanks for asking!

Great Space! What are the pavers? They have really nice color variation.

A: Thanks, I believe it is a 6" x 6" Willow Creek paver from Versa-Lok. Color - charcoal blend.

**Q: What a lovely mix of conifers...can u tell me what they are please?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I'm planting an "entry" rock garden with pond and conifers in the center of the driveway oval on our acreage... and I love the mix of colors here as well as the focal point urn.

A: Thanks. The main plants from front to back include: Pinus strobus 'Blue Shag', Chamaecyparis 'Mops', Thuja occidentalis 'Sunkist' and Abies concolor 'Candicans'. The evergreens along the fence are Thuja occidentalis 'Pyramidalis'. Have fun with your rock garden!

Is that a loose gravel path? What kind of rock, what kind of base, etc?  Thx!

A: Hello - Thanks for the question. Yes, that is a gravel path/terrace. We used pea gravel on compacted soil with landscape fabric between the pea gravel and soil. The gravel is edged with steel edging. Hope this helps.

**Q: What material is the wood decking?** *(in Photo Questions)*

If it is wood, how do you prevent rot with all the trapped moisture and being in such close contact to the ground? Thanks.
