We did everything from changing the pitch of the roof to installing new floors and everything in between. We also added solar by the recommendation of Daniel and are pleased with the impact on our electric bills. What Dan and DEZINE& did for our little valley home was stupendous. A: I’m going off memory as this project was a few years back but I think the shower was almost 4 feet wide. More generous than a normal shower of this design. What is the garage door?** *(in Photo Questions)* Please share who makes garage door, stain color, materials, etc.? Thanks! A: I wish I could help you on that. It was a last minute change out by the contractor and I haven't any details in my files on that. **Q: Dark stain hardwood floors** *(in Flooring)* We are planning on redoing our hardwood floors soon and were thinking of staining our hardwood floors to a dark stain. We are starting to hear that dark stain is going out. Just want to get some feedback. I love that look but don’t want to be on the end of that trend. A: Dark floors are 70% timeless. I think it depends on the shade. I LOVE dark floors in the right space.... everything works together in a room, so you can't just generically say YES or NO to any color/texture because it is a recipe for the room/space. So, the only thing I will say not positive about dark floors - if you have shedding pets or do not like to sweep/vacuum regularly - they are NOT for you! :(. like a dark/black car.. they tend to show everything. **Q: Who makes the cabinetry?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: We actually had it made with our local vendors. **Q: Best grass for Los Angeles?** *(in Lawn Care)* I absolutely have no knowledge of gardening and looking to redo my front yard. Seeking advice and would like to start gaining some knowledge from here. I will be looking into getting a sprinkler system installed and would like to lay down new grass. So far I've read about Fescue and Augustine grass, but still cannot figure out what is the best economical grass for me. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
