Would you all have any suggestions for paint change, adding a porch or shutters, or landscaping. Thank you so much . A: I would suggest adding some James Hardie Shake in the two large gable on either side of the front entry. **Q: New exterior - HELP** *(in Design Dilemma)* So my husband is a pastor and this is the parsonage we live in. It's basically like living in a rental without having to pay rent or utilities. That being said, it is DATED and I'm desperate to bring it into this decade. However, our church isn't the largest and we don't have a limitless budget. We just put the roof on, and I do like the brick - I'm not dead set against painting it though. The siding will need replacing soon, and the front door doesn't lock and I'd like to replace it. They put new windows on the house before we move in. I'm open to just about anything, and do hope to put blue into the exterior somehow. Any advice is welcome! A: If the siding needs to be replaced soon, you can look at using James Hardie. We would recommend Lap siding on the back and sides and James Hardie Shake across the upper front as well as making the front porch posts larger and more substantial. **Q: What color and brand shake siding is this..
