Tony is very responsive, trustworthy, and honest. They were our most affordable quote and delivered on every promise they made - including the timeline given which was about 4-5 weeks. Mitch from The Carpet Store in Sylmar certainly doesn’t have a glossy showroom, but has everything, is a good person and works with a lot of contractors. When I asked for a reference, Mitch said that flooring is the last step on a lot of renovation jobs. The contractor he doesn’t hear complaints about is Tony of TME. I also checked Houzz and the other websites and they say the same thing that I’m saying here. > > If you can, work with TME. Tony is a human buzz saw. He is always there, works hard, fast, meticulously and at a reasonable cost. That is just great but there is more. It was fun to work with Tony. (His sense of humor can be a real groaner, but, much as I hate to admit it, I’m still smiling.) He is honest, genuinely cares about what you want, the quality of the work and the schedule. He brought in a group of workers who were a pleasure to have in the house and who had been with him for years. I also recommend using his advice. Work was needed on damage from past leaks, mold checking (a science in its own right) and 2 1/2 bathroom remodels. He did everything meticulously to code. Shortly after contacting them we met Tony who gave us the quote for a big construction job we had (kitchen, bathroom, floor, fireplace among other). Fast forward, job is done in time and in budget (which was among the best quotes we received for the same job). No complains, perfect job and perfect budget, but that's not why we're writing this review. Maybe we're spoiled to say this but well we received what we paid for and what we expected, HOWEVER, we're writing this purely based on the experience we had with Tony his son and crew. To put in 1 word, it'll be FAMILY, that's exactly what it felt like having them around, family. People who were not only doing a "job" but sincerely caring and going beyond anything they were suppose to do just to keep us happy. He gave us realistic expectations, finished his work on time and stayed involved throughout the entire process. Like with any/all construction projects, we hit a few snags and he rolled with it. His estimate was very fair and his answered all of our questions (and was very patient with us since we're new homeowners and renovation newbies). Tony has put together a great team and every subcontractor he brought in was excellent. He's also one of the few contractors who can finish on time and on budget without sacrificing quality, and that's rare in any business.
