He was often unavailable and the design took well over a year. When the project commenced we found many errors in the work and then subsequently became aware of kickbacks he was receiving from the tradesmen on the project without our knowledge resulting in thousands of extra in charges without our knowledge. **★★★★ — Closets to Adore, Oct. 2015** > Alan and his team designed and built the addition to our house. It took longer than we thought, but as with most custom work, this is to be expected. They came up with great ideas to difficult problems and in the end we have a beautiful home. The one thing that sticks out is that ASA will always do right thing for their customers. **★★★★ — Cutting Edge Glass, June 2015** > Working with Alan and his team has always been a pleasure. They have great ideas and always pay attention to details leaving no questions. I would recommend ASA without any hesitation. **★★★★★ — ddcummings, Dec. 2014** > We have been working with ASA Design and Build for well over a year in designing and remodeling our 1970's ranch to have a more appealing craftsman cottage facade as well as meet the needs of our family. The architects at ASA have been very accommodating and professional the entire way. We have felt that our wants and concerns have been heard and are thrilled with the excitement that the team has shown in helping us bring this dream of ours closer to fruition. As we have hashed out details, we have been grateful for the consideration the design team has put forth to stay within our proposed budget as this is very important to us. It has been wonderful when suggested but perfect alternatives have been put forth that still give us the look and space we need and want without breaking the bank. This capability can only comes through field experience. ASA Design and Build have that experience. When we are trying to convey an idea or need to get a visual of a design, the team has always produce a picture or 3D from their vast portfolio. **★★★★★ — johnpodolak, Dec. 2014** > John was the representative I worked with from ASA Design Build. He portrayed himself very professionally. He seemed very knowledgeable about the construction process and would promptly respond to my questions about the process either by phone, email or text. > He was able to move my project along at a reasonable pace and the subcontractors he used were all of high quality, meaning the subcontractors were knowledgeable, polite, quick workers and tidy. Last minute minor changes and tweets were never a problem. Customer satisfaction seems to be a priority with John and the ASA company. They are a full service company since John and ASA were able to generate the construction drawings for me, deal with city permitting, complete the build and arrange for all the city inspections. My build is done and am very satisfied. I will definately use them in the future. ## Selected projects - [Transitional New Home Build on Greenwood Ave, Madison NJ](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/transitional-new-home-build-on-greenwood-ave-madison-nj-pj-vj~979992) - Location: Madison, NJ - Photos: 34 - [Craftsman Style Renovation in Madison NJ](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/craftsman-style-renovation-in-madison-nj-pj-vj~810331) - Location: Madison, NJ - Photos: 24 - Description: Full Design & Build Renovation for a home in Madison NJ - [Maple St House \#1 in Madison NJ](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/maple-st-house-1-in-madison-nj-pj-vj~798968) - Location: Madison, NJ - Photos: 3 - Description: Residential home with intricate molding and trimwork details on the exterior - [Maple St House \#2 in Madison NJ](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/maple-st-house-2-in-madison-nj-pj-vj~798965) - Location: Madison, NJ - Photos: 1 - Description: Custom home exterior completed in Madison NJ - [Custom Traditional Home Designed and Built in Madison NJ](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/custom-traditional-home-designed-and-built-in-madison-nj-pj-vj~798948) - Location: Madison, NJ - Photos: 1 - Description: custom home in the traditional style designed and built in Madison NJ - [Kitchens Designed & Installed by ASA Design Build](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/kitchens-designed-and-installed-by-asa-design-build-pj-vj~798942) - Location: Madison, NJ - Photos: 8 - Description: Kitchens that have been designed & installed by ASA Design Build - [Custom Designed Stair and Entryways](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/custom-designed-stair-and-entryways-pj-vj~798950) - Location: Secaucus, NJ - Photos: 2 - Description: Stair and Entry way details that are designed and built by ASA Design build. - [Custom Home Portfolio - Designed & Built by ASA Design Build](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/custom-home-portfolio-designed-and-built-by-asa-design-build-pj-vj~1002612) - Location: Madison, NJ - Photos: 8 - Description: Custom built homes, designed and built by ASA Design build - [Transitional Home in Madison](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/transitional-home-in-madison-pj-vj~2618065) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 21 - [Custom Home in Madison](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/custom-home-in-madison-pj-vj~2618035) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 35 - [Transitional Home in Chatham NJ](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/transitional-home-in-chatham-nj-pj-vj~1991966) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 16 - [High End Duplex in Chatham NJ](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/high-end-duplex-in-chatham-nj-pj-vj~1756147) - Location: Chatham, NJ - Photos: 17 - Description: Residential Duplex with full finished basement, 3 full baths and 1 half bath. - [Bathroom Renovation](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/bathroom-renovation-pj-vj~1676003) - Location: Madison, NJ - Photos: 3 - [New Home in Madison, NJ](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/new-home-in-madison-nj-pj-vj~1614543) - Location: Not specified - Photos: 2 - [Traditional Home Custom Designed & Built in Madison NJ](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/traditional-home-custom-designed-and-built-in-madison-nj-pj-vj~1130968) - Location: Madison, NJ - Photos: 9 - Description: Traditional home with transitional elements designed & built by ASA in Madison NJ - [Custom Transitional Home Designed & Built in Madison NJ](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/custom-transitional-home-designed-and-built-in-madison-nj-pj-vj~1130955) - Location: Madison, NJ - Photos: 7 - Description: Transitional home with modern details designed and built by ASA [See all 16 projects](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/architects-and-building-designers/asa-design-build-pfvwus-pf~2080923237) ## Ideabooks - [Porte Cochere](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/44945356/list/porte-cochere) — 6 ideas [See all 1 ideabook](https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/users/asadesignbuild) ## Community Q&A **Q: Can you tell me the color of the siding?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Please call the office at 973-377-1313 so we can better assist you! **Q: Love the bathtub.
