We paid 98% of the contracted price, and 9+ months after construction began, we still cannot use our basement. > > Our experience included multiple failed county inspections, including previously cited items that had not been corrected; ongoing electrical issues; active water intrusion in the walls around a window Reither removed and reinstalled; and significant flooring problems. Although floor leveling was specifically included in our contract, an independent certified flooring inspector ultimately concluded that 100% of our LVP needs to be replaced due to inadequate floor preparation and installation that did not meet manufacturer requirements. > > Project management and oversight were also major concerns. Ryan was often difficult to connect with, and subcontractors would come to us with questions about what they were there to do or how parts of the project were supposed to be completed. We frequently found ourselves navigating issues we had hired a GC and project manager to coordinate and oversee. > > The project was never completed, and we never had a final walkthrough. We were also presented with unexpected additional charges totaling roughly 10% of our original contract without change orders. When we disputed them, Ryan told us he would place a lien on our home and would not address the outstanding items we had been trying to resolve. No lien was ever filed. > > We have now had to hire lawyers just to try to get any of this resolved. Which color grout?** *(in Design Dilemma)* I need to decide by tomorrow on which color grout to go in the vertical space between the white accent tile and gray wall tile in my bathtub. Gray or white grout? Help! A: There are many pros and cons to both colors! The darker color will help hide dirt and stains but is also more prone to fading and staining form harsh cleaners. The white color on the other hand is more likely to show dirt.
