Any suggestions would be appreciated:) A: A round coffee table is best! **Q: Help with my living room- what kind of coffee table and side tables?** *(in Design Dilemma)* In our living room, we have a Persian Heriz Serapi in blues and salmon, a pair of mid-mod chairs I had reupholstered in a soft grey blue, a Crate & Barrel grey sofa (which I'm thinking now is too big), a rattan light that I'd like to use (see it on one of the chairs). I'd like to frame the area opposite the chairs with two clean-lined mod stools. I painted the fireplace because it was an awful 80's tile. I'm not loving the salmon colored wall but my house is very open so it breaks it up. Questions- 1. For the living room: Coffee table, side tables and lighting? I love boho chic. I was thinking of adding some African mudcloth pillows to the sofa, and adding a low wooden coffee table (I might buy this one: https://www.chairish.com/product/367590/dansk-lovig-danish-modern-teak-coffee-table) . But not sure what color of wood as I'm working with the rattan light, and the pair of walnut chairs? If I get a wooden coffee table then what side tables and lighting? I have a tendency to take a theme too far. I also know that Boho is trendy and want to be able to make easy updates in the future. Maybe I should ditch the rattan light and not go for Boho- it feels like a simple, relaxed look but it's hard for me to do. 2\. What rug would you suggest for the dining room area? I was thinking of a solid color creme rug or a pale blue (the pale blue is very difficult to find). By the way, I live in CA. Our home is light-filled and I'm going for a warm modern feel all over. I ordered a couple chairs and bought this rug now need a coffee table or ottoman. My wife ordered a bling chandelier for over the dining table that comes this week and living chairs come this Wednesday. The rug and arm chairs are returnable. I like the TV over fireplace and won my wife over on that one so it is professionaly wired in and not going anywhere. I want to prove my wife that I can get this done and it will look good.
