I have gathered more than 20 years experience in the kitchen and cabinet industry. I apprenticed under master craftsmen learning all aspects of the cabinet making process. From sanding, milling, building, finishing and installing, this experience has given me a practical knowledge and confidence while designing. I have gained some notoriety for my designs over the years and have won several best kitchen awards during local home shows.

I founded Marc Sowers Bespoke Woodwork with the desire to create exquisite spaces suited to the lifestyles of each of my clients. Being hands-on throughout the entire process is crucial with bespoke work. I walk clients through the consultation that includes gathering information, 3d renderings of their space, discussing material options as well as a timeline to craft and install. Whether I am creating utilitarian cabinetry for heavy use, or an intricately hand carved library, the client is at the center of every design.

> We had an incredible experience working with Bespoke Woodwork. This was our first remodeling project (kitchen remodel) and Bespoke was so helpful and thoughtful throughout the process. They helped us design the kitchen and came up with great ideas that we hadn't initially thought of but now is the favorite part of our new kitchen. We have a small kitchen with not much work space but they suggested ideas that doubled our work space and still kept the space open and bright. For the cabinets, they a great job installing and always kept us in the loop and made sure everything was to our liking. Furthermore, they also thought of and implemented finishing details that we hadn't considered but really made a difference (e.g., cabinet trim, matching built-in cabinet paint to the new ones). In addition to the great work, their cabinets are very high-quality with a lot of customizable options, including undercabinet lighting. Lastly, we also commissioned custom solid wood floating shelves that we absolutely love. They even matched the shelf wood color to our existing wood floors, which really made it flow well with the house. The whole team was so nice to talk to and work with, we will definitely be seeking them out for any future projects!

## Community Q&A

**Q: Beautiful breakfast nook** *(in Photo Questions)*

Good morning!   Would you be able to share the height of the seat backs on the banquette seating?    I’m struggling with this in our new custom home construction and could use an assist.  🙏🏻
Our nook is 8x8 with windows on 2 sides.   The challenge is that the windows may not have enough height off the floor.

A: Thanks Cindy!  Seat is 16" with a 2" foam cushion.  back rest and window sill height is about 36".  Best of luck with your build!

Mine is backpainted with white, but the glass makes it look green.

A: A white with low iron glass gets the purest colors. Thanks!

What wood is used in the kitchen and is it rift or quarter sawn?

A: Plain sliced cherry

A: Custom made from an I beam. Perhaps the architect has the steel fabricators info . Was not part of our scope of work.

**Q: How is the breakfast bar mounted to the island?  Love it!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hello!  The Walnut slab has a 3/8" steel plate recessed on the underside.  The metal stand offs are welded to the plate and bolted through the quartz counter and cabinet top. Thanks!

**Q: Wood type and stain?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What's the wood type and stain or finish? Beautiful and modern, nice work.

A: We mixed a custom grey color stain to dull the red tones of the cherry wood.
