## About

### Houzz Badges

- 100 Ideabook Saves

Jan and Brooke, Luminae LLC have been practicing lighting design since the 1970s. Working on lighting design projects both nationally and internationally with their specialty in landscape lighting.

Our philosophy is that we wish for everyone to have "good" landscape lighting, as we believe it positively affects the quality of our lives. Landscape lighting is an art form that follows the tenets of composition. Creating a cohesive visual composition provides views out of important windows and beautiful settings in gardens for outdoor enjoyment. Our approach to landscape lighting incorporates safety and security issues within an aesthetic appearance.

Effective landscape lighting is not easy to produce - it is detailed in both artistic and technical aspects. It requires careful thinking about what can be accomplished, and how, before we proceed.

To determine a direction for the landscape lighting on your property, we integrate our experience, aesthetic design abilities, engineering, and awareness of the expectations of our clients to provide a well-conceived product with a predictable result within budget. We accomplish this goal by being thoroughly involved and responsive to all facets of the project and sensitive to your perspectives and needs.

We have deliberately kept our design firm small so that we can be the leads on each of our projects.

We look forward to discussing your project ideas with you.

**★★★★★ — A. Robbins Landscape Contractors, June 2017**

> As a contractor, I have worked with Jan Moyer, as the lighting designer, on projects for 33 years. Simply stated, she is the best there is period. She has taken the landscape lighting field from it's primitive stages to the incredible art form it is today worldwide. It does not matter whether she, and now the incredibly talented Brooke, are working on a small project or one of vast scope, that project will receive the same level of world class creative energy, project management and customer service. This is the firm you want to work with whatever your lighting needs may be.

**★★★★★ — Glow Landscape Lighting, Jan. 2017**

> I have had the pleasure of working with Jan and Brooke on numerous landscape lighting projects recently.
> From the initial planning phase all the way to the final night time focus, their extraordinary knowledge of all things lighting has made the most intricate of lighting projects run smoothly and successfully with amazing night time views and delighted clients the only outcome.
> Jan and Brooke, Luminae LLC have my highest recommendation and I look forward to working with them again in the near future.

**★★★★★ — Steven Berg, Jan. 2017**

> Brooke has provided several wonderful designs for us. We initially worked together professionally when i was active in the Lighting Industry. Subsequently, Brooke provided the designs for several projects including a sculpture garden, an exterior landscape (both in New Jersey), a complete LED retrofit, Exterior Landscape and Architectural Design (both with a Control system in Florida) and is currently working on a New Construction Residential project in New Jersey. She is our "go to" for lighting design!
