> Although their bid was not competitive we contracted Alphascapes following a referral from Austin Brothers Fence Company to build a 3 foot high decorative breeze block wall. The people were nice, but lacked basic skills as the wall was completely uneven. This caused challenges later when the fence company tried to complete their portion of the project.
>
> They also used chipped bricks throughout the wall. When asked about it, Aphascapes advised that the bricks were defective. Then why using defective bricks in the first place then? They bought them directly from the supplier and the cost was included in the overall project. Very unethical.
>
> I contacted them on 2/18 to fix the chipped bricks and Alphascapes advised that they would come by. I reached out multiple times to follow-up with them but then the communication simply stoped. They have yet to show up as I am writing this review. I had to hire another contractor to fix them.
>
> This company might be ok when it comes to basic landscaping projects but I would not hire them for anything else. This was a nightmare.

> My project consisted of building a concrete border 13 inches deep 6 inches wide with 5 additional inches over the top so that a cedar fence could be built on top of the concrete. The length of the build was approximately 205 linear feet.
>
> The cost was high, so because of this I expected high quality on the results. I looked at other finalized projects on the company's website that looked amazing, so this convinced me that I was going to be satisfied with the end results of my project. Unfortunately this was not the case for me.
>
> My project was quoted and estimated to be completed in 3 days. This gave me the impression that a big crew of people were going to work on my project, but instead only 2 people worked on my project. Project start dates and end dates kept being pushed back, and work days were not full 8 hour shifts. At the end completion time was approximately 4 weeks, but not all business days were worked.
>
> Unfortunately during the project heavy rain was encountered, and nothing was done to prevent rain damage to wet concrete. This caused for the concrete to not set and dry properly. Patching had to be done afterwards to fix the issue, but the end result does not look proffessional. Additionally, some areas have large chunks of concrete dried up against the side of the border wall where concrete sludged out during the build. This also makes for the quality of the completed work to look lousy.
>
> Among other billing discrepancies, the wording on the quote for the cost for cleanup was not accurate. I was charged for "Haul Off" with a description of "Haul of of Excavated soil". This gave me the impression that whatever soil was excavated was to be cleaned up and hauled off. This was not the case, and dug up dirt was just redistributed. The "Haul off" apparently was just for whatever large bulky rocks and debris were dug up during the build. I did not want the extra soil so I had to pay extra for the removal labor, and haul off of the excavated soil, which I personally also assisted to clean up.
>
> Because of these and other unprofessional experiences during my own project, I will not recommend this company to others.

**★★★★★ — Marlene Porter, Oct. 2017**

> Alphascapes installed a sprinkler system in my front yard last summer (2016)....a good sized front yard. The price quoted was comparable with other quotes I had received and I decided to hire them to do my job ..... I knew they did much larger, more complicated jobs than mine. They were on time, worked hard, didn't mess up the yard more than they had to and got it done as quick as they could. In the last year, a couple of issues arose...not installation issue and they were here to fix the problems promptly.. I'm very pleased with their service and if I need any more of their services I won't hesitate to call them.
