Hello, I'm Ken Berry and I established The Berry Group with the goal of being the premier luxury custom home builder, specializing in building the best quality homes in the finest communities in Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina. We have projects in Greenville, Asheville, Cashiers, Highlands, and Lake Toxaway. With both of my parents being licensed builders, my roots run deep in residential construction. Clemson, South Carolina is home to my family which includes my wonderful wife Durema, and our four small children. We love this area and are proud to be raising our family here. I am a proud graduate of Clemson University where I earned a degree in Civil Engineering. My early career began as a professional engineer working mostly in the large-scale commercial construction business, on complex projects such as hospitals, historic renovations, research laboratories and educational facilities. Many of the projects I have managed can be found around the campus of Clemson University. While my early career consisted of mainly commercial work, my first love is custom residential. I take great pride in performing high quality work and bringing the visions of the client and architects to reality.

I am proud that The Berry Group has been selected as a Showcase Builder for The Reserve at Lake Keowee. We have partnered with leading architects to develop a series of plans that will streamline the building process and allow the clients to sit back and enjoy the construction of their dream home. It is truly a collaborative effort and the clients are also able to work with an interior designer and make interior selections as well.

I am also proud to have been selected as a builder for the Cliffs Communities Signature Series. The Cliffs Signature Services is a complimentary service that helps navigate clients through the home-building process and offers information on the highest quality of proven builders, architectural designers and interior designers.

To make each project a success, I have hand picked and assembled a team of highly qualifed managers and craftsmen. All of my staff have an excellent work ethic and are dedicated to delivering the highest quality workmanship to my clients. I am committed to paying them well, providing them with the benefits so needed in today's world and doing all that is necessary to make their work environment a postive one. This insures my team will be strong today and for many years to come.

Thank you for t

**★★★★★ — Mary K Bowser, Feb. 2015**

> The Berry Group constructed an 8,000 square foot home for us on Lake Keowee. From the bidding process through construction The Berry Group was very professional, was always willing to make changes and offer excellent suggestions for improving on design features of the home. It was a great building experience!

**★★★★★ — Sierra Paturalski, Oct. 2014**

> We moved into our home built by the Berry Group in August of 2014. My husband and I selected our builder, The Berry Group, first. We wanted to find the attention to detail and quality in building we were looking for in a home. We walked through a number of homes the Berry Group had built with the owner, Ken Berry and his associate Robert Calder. As Ken Berry showed us each home, Robert Calder was there to write down each detail we commented on as we toured the homes. And there were a number of details that were beyond our expectations. The flooring, made of reclaimed heart pine was exactly what we wanted, The stone work was old world stone better than any other we had seen. When you look at the pictures you will see what we mean. The Jeffersonian bed built in under the stairs was a perfect hideaway for reading. The arches and plaster work were exquisite. Next we interviewed architects who had worked well with The Berry Group to design our home. Both Ken Berry the builder and Robert Calder were there to listen in on the interviews. But they never said a word. They accompanied us on the tours of each architects homes. When I asked for their opinion they said it was our decision, that they worked well with all of them. It was our decision to make. We selected Brad Wright and were not disappointed. The quality of work by the Berry Group was exceptional, the attention to detail and level of subs superb. They highly recommended Geothermal heat and explained the tax benefits that went with the installation. We are pleased beyond words with our new home. The pictures were taken today and should be posted in a few weeks. We highly recommend The Berry Group as a builder in the Greenville, SC to Asheville NC area. You will not be disappointed.

**★★★★★ — RMS Architecture, June 2014**

> As an Architect who takes his professional work as art, it is rare to find a house builder or contractor who understands and supports a way that Architects like me think. And so, I have been very pleased to have met and to work with the Berry Group. We are about to complete our second project with them, the third one is about to begin, and I enthusiastically recommend them to my clients. Ken and his supporting staff maintain a high level of professionalism and diligence, and they take great pride in the quality of their work. They are responsive and attentive to details, not just the big picture. No matter how good a design is, the end result can either tell the story or ruin it. Thanks to the Berry Group, our designs are built to be we envision, and more -- Fantastic!

> DeSantana Stone Company is currently working with the Berry Group on a home in Salem, South Carolina. We are providing their client with hand carved, limestone exterior elements. Each project we have worked on with the Berry Group has reflected their team’s exceptional professionalism and quality craftsmanship. We recommend the Berry Group to clients looking for an excellent custom builder in Western North Carolina.

**★★★★★ — Accent Photography, Feb. 2013**

> We have photographed quite a number of homes for The Berry Group over the past few years. We always comment on the high degree of attention to detail and the unparalleled quality of the homes Ken builds. We have also noticed that the homeowners just love Ken and his team. Everyone has the highest respect for Ken and his staff. We've gotten to know many of his project managers as well, and they are all, without exception, very professional and just a pleasure to work with. Thanks to Ken, Accent Photography has a rather stunning portfolio of architectural images. We're always thrilled when we get to photograph a home for The Berry Group!

**★★★★★ — Wright Design, Nov. 2012**

> I have worked with The Berry Group on a number of projects, two of which won Pinnacle Awards from the Homebuilders Association of SC. Ken and his team are always professional, organized and attentive to the homeowner. The Berry Group ensures superior craftsmanship in every aspect of the homebuilding process, and I would recommend them to any client that is planning a custom home project.

**★★★★★ — John Edwards, AIA at LS3P \| Neal Prince Studio, July 2012**

> LS3P \| Neal Prince Studio has worked on a number of custom homes with The Berry Group. Our most recent project with their company was nationally recognized with a 2012 RD+B Design Excellence Award. We have found that the Berry Group provides a well organized approach to performing their work and treats each project as a truly collaborative effort between homeowner, contractor and architect. They have been extraordinarily attentive to current trends in construction practice, reliable in their craftsmanship, and they are well coordinated in the management of demanding schedules and budgets. Their construction superintendents have proven to be highly professional, responsible in their communication, and effective in their daily management of project progress. Ken Berry’s professional civil engineering background lends a valuable perspective to the successful delivery of any project his team undertakes. I feel confident in recommending the Berry Group to any client that is contemplating the construction of a new custom home.
