Love it! A: This is a custom beveled mirror and frame painted to coordinate with the vanity. We typically have the glass company install our mirrors and our carpenter make the frames on site. **Q: Mirror** *(in Photo Questions)* Where to you buy the mirror? A: This was a custom framed mirror made by a local carpenter. **Q: which paint color** *(in Design Dilemma)* hi all , I painted my office providence blue Benjamin Moore (accent and ceiling ) . and Smoke Benjamin Moore in other walls , see picture attached . However I don't like smoke color .. what other color would go wel with providence blue here ? A: Judy G made a very important point. Color is relative so the deep ceiling color is affecting the room completely and your interpretation of the color smoke. I would first repaint the ceiling, light but not too bright. Something like Ben Moore paper white (see here- http://www.thehomecoloriste.com/hc-blog1/2016/3/18/bm?rq=Paper white ) Would work well. Then you can reevaluate the color smoke. In general those 2 colors work beautiful together but let's look again after the ceiling. I will repost with a couple other options for the accent wall for consideration. **Q: Help! New house, need to pick paint colors** *(in Home Decorating)* I have a vision of what I want the house to look like in my head but in the paint store was completely overwhelmed. My plan is to go with a gray theme in the hallways with blues and greens throughout the house. Does anyone have any recommended greiges with blue hues? Also any recommendations for picking colors that flow throughout the house (e.g. there's an open kitchen so I originally planned to do navy in the family room but that would then limit the color choices in the kitchen and eat-in area)? If more pictures, are helpful, I can add them. Color is a perception and is completely dependent on light. I see that you have nice natural light coming in to the living room so depending on which direction the room faces and time of day, the look of colors will be affected either with warmth or cool overlay. As long as you understand what the possibility is and are ok with that, it works. For example, a gray with a green undertone in a north facing room will look muddier around lunchtime and on. If you like gray-green, you'll be fine. If you don't, you'll hate it. Are the kitchen cabs on the table for being painted? Going light on them would open up the kitchen. From the photos on my screen, it appears that your countertops are pretty neutral and would work fine but what color are they in person? Are all of the interior doors wood color? If so, is this an option to be painted? If you are thinking about painting the ceilings a "color", consider color qualities for the feel you are going for. In general, cool colors that are light and muted are going to give the illusion of more volume as these colors recede. The opposite of that will result in a "cozier more intimate" space. **Q: Can someone recommend a creamy taupe?** *(in Paint)* Sherwin Williams preferably. Thx A: What do you think about Ben Moore: Silver Fox, shown here? **Q: Paint choice dilemma...Please Help!** *(in Paint)* My wife and I have probably put six different color samples on our interior walls and cannot come to a good feeling about a paint color. We are approaching the project with two thoughts in mind. 1.) A color that would be appealing for resale in the near future. 2.) If for some reason we do not sell, a color that is appealing to our liking. Our home is a lake home, open concept with ceiling height in living area probably around 20 ft at the highest. The flooring throughout, except bedrooms, is white tile. Colors tried so far that we thought would work are SW HGSW3124- Palomino Pony, SW6101-Sands of Time, Valspar 3002-9C-Cincinnatian Hotel Carl Tan, Valspar-2008-9C- Faint Maple. What are your thoughts on these colors for a open concept home with white tile floors? We are at a point of having someone come in and assist with choosing an interior wall color but really don't need the full service of an interior decorator at this time. Are there services out there that could assist with choosing a interior color based on a homes interior concept? A: Thank you for the update!
