> After buying an older home,  I came to them with my kitchen renovation project which included changing the space to include a dining area. We also wanted to get as much as possible done before we moved in. They were able to move quickly (over the Christmas holidays!) and get an amazing design ready for us that we love. I think I’m pretty picky and they were able to figure out my taste perfectly after I sent them a few pinterest photos!  All of their choices have been spot on, we now have our dream kitchen, and Mimi and Hill were able to configure a narrow previously unused space perfectly to turn it into a dining nook.
> As I really liked the work done on my kitchen, I signed on to do a second project with Mimi & Hill - a full bathroom renovation.  That project unfortunately did not work out at all, so I cut ties with the firm after not being able to get answers I needed as the bathroom was being framed and some commentary from the M&H team that I found offensive. After paying my design fees I was left with a bathroom concept/design that I needed to implement on my own, which was challenging but doable and gave me the flexibility to make some changes along the way. Everything worked out in the end and I'm happy with the finished design.  While I was disappointed in their service  - they really know what they are doing from a design standpoint, and I came away from the experience learning a lot and are thankful for their insights and expertise.

  - Description: Our client asked for a zen bathroom, the kind of place all your troubles fade. It was a very 2008 situation we found ourselves in before. Reasonable ask and I think we delivered! The floors are a limestone, a tile we think is often overlooked because of its natural fissures. But we love a little imperfection and thankfully so did our clients. Zoom in for the beautiful fluting on the wall! We were able to give this clients double sinks and a separate vanity area.

I would like to do this in my bedroom, what are these panels called and what kind of craftsman does this kind of work please?

A: Hi this is called picture molding and it’s just about the simplest wood working job to do. The trick is placing the panels. Tape them out with blue painters tape on your wall to get the spacing right.
