About Us

For more than 35 years we have been helping people realize dreams that exceed their expectations in new construction, remodeling and adaptive reuse, in Architecture and Interior Design, Landscapes, and in Building Performance. Graduates of the School of Architecture at UTAustin, we have a hands-on green design/build company. Annie also has a MBA in Sustainable Business and we include sustainable business consulting in Routh & Company service offerings. We consider our educations to be tools for problem solving that can be applied to creatively solving anything, not just building!

With Ken leading the architecture/construction group and Annie working on the projects while also teaching environmental design in architecture, interior design and construction on a university level, Routh & Company, Austin, is a progressive, enthusiastic team with a passion for sustainable progress practiced with guiding principles of respect for community, diversity, collective change, social and environmental justice, and sharing of knowledge.

We both deeply believe that everyone should have safe, comfortable, healthy, and affordable places to live, work, and play. Plus, the work we all do together should be fun! We would love to help you to make great sustainable choices for your home and/or office, inside and out!
