The goal was to be able to create privacy when we wanted it but still allow some light to come through and not cover the window casings. We ended up going with Graber cordless blinds in a grass cloth looking material through the whole house that met all the goals and also added a nice textural element to the space. The attached photos are of one set of windows with the blinds all halfway down (which is how we usually have them), all the way up, and all the way down. They also made the 8' long window seat cushion at the bottom of the pictures. It all looks great! Where was it purchased? What color looks best against pure red walls? I currently have white but wonder if I should soften with pale grey?
