But I agree with above..... lacquer the wood and use an updated great fabric for the seats. I am doing that with a client with the host and hostess french chairs and leaving the other chairs in the original wood but with new chair seats. Good luck! **Q: Need help with accent chairs** *(in Design Dilemma)* Hi, i cannot figure out what chairs will go with the couch and the painting. Need something kid friendly. Any suggestions? A: Because there is so much fabric in the sectional, I would use a chair that is not just solid fabric,i.e. a frame of either wood, metal, lucite etc. Also, bring in a pattern and color. For kid friendly, use a faux leather or washable faux suede, or an acrylic dyed, indoor/ outdoor fabric. And, yes, the fan should be replaced. There are so many new designs that would complement your room more positively. It was all custom made which is why you cannot find it anywhere. The room was put together with carefully selected fabrics for custom draperies, bedding and furniture. When taking out carpet in the living room, to match the wood floor that meets it or try a different colored wood flooring? I have white oak down now -- do the same? A: It should definitely match or do a contrast border if you cannot get the same.
