> David has been such a pleasure to work with. From finding just the best trades to work on our home to suggesting design ideas and responding quickly to out requests and questions, he’s been wonderful.

> We worked with Dave Contorno for our optometry office build out SMART EYES in Aurora, IL this summer. He was professional and did a great job from start to finish.

**Comment from Accent CMS Construction Management Services:**

**★ — Mark K, July 2016**

> My experience with Accent CMS was quite interesting. Everything started out great, but turned quite unprofessional and unfortunate. To start, we contacted the company back in the summer of 2015. We had a vision to rebuild/remodel a certain section of our home. We were not too sure what we wanted but we had an idea. David visited our home to take a look and give us some ideas. After his visit, he let us know his general pricing guideline, and put the ball in our court to continue with the remodel. Unfortunately, 2015 was not the year for us to start the remodel since we just had construction done on our deck. Fast forwarding to beginning 2016, David actually called me earlier in the year to see where we were at. It was great to hear from him and it seemed like he was really invested into our project. I told him we needed some more time, and that I would contact him within the next few months. So, the time came to start this project back up. I called David On June 22nd, 2016. We talked on the phone, I sent him a plat of survey and some pictures of the addition we wanted to remodel. David let know that he wanted to visit the property again which was totally understandable. He came back to our home on June 28th and took a look around again. After he was finished, he told us that he would send us an estimate by the following weekend. From here, this is how the timeline goes:
>
> July 6th: Emailed David to ask for an update.
> July 6th: David told me I would have it by the end of the weekend.
> July 11th: Emailed David to ask for an update.
> July 11th: David told me I would have it before the weekend.
> July 14th: Emailed David to ask for an update.
> July 14th: David came up with another excuse to why he was late. Promised it by the weekend.
> July 18th: Emailed David to ask for an update.
> July 20th: David promised an estimate by the evening.
> July 21st: Called David
> July 21st: David gave me another excuse and false promise
> July 25th: Still nothing from David.
>
> I know this is quite an extensive timeline for just an estimate, but I want people to realize how stupid and childish this got. David wasted our time. I have a feeling David did not want the job, but instead of telling us he wasn’t “fit” for the job, he gave us complete silence. I understand not every project is the best project, but there are much better ways to say no. This was a very sad experience.
>
> In the end, I have no doubt David does good work, but his level of customer service is not to standard. In this day and age, customer service is one of the most important qualities to have. I hope no has ever or will ever experience something like this. I will not be contacting him again.

**Comment from Accent CMS Construction Management Services:**

> Mark, I sorry that you feel our customer service is not up to standards you expect. As you know, we are extremely busy right now. I thought I was clear with you on this. Apparently not clear enough. The timeline which you outlined is not completely accurate. Granted, I did hope to provide you with a ballpark estimate, (specifications were yet to be determined) but I was also with the understanding that your father being an engineer and a friend of his who was an architect would have provided some detail as to specifications or some sort of plan rendering. Having invested multiple hours advising you and your father over the last two years and still not clear on the direction you were heading, unfortunately this took a back seat to other customers we are servicing. I wish you the best of luck with your project. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you are still in need of a GC to work with. Best Regards.

**★★★★ — Mimi Projovic, June 2016**

> My husband and I chose David at Accent CMS to help with planning our tear down and new build. David was knowledgeable in the process, patient and had several experienced professionals in every area we needed help. It was great having David guide us in putting together our dream home!

> After meeting David at a home show, we have started to move forward on a project to add a second story to our new home. We're still early in the process, but David is helping us through a well defined budget, targeting a cost well below any general contractor we had previously met with. David's management plan will allow us more control, and outlining the budget up front has helped us get more comfortable with this large project

**Comment from Accent CMS Construction Management Services:**

> Thank you Brian. I'm really looking forward to your finished product. You and Jennifer have been a pleasure to work with. Just let me know if there is anything further we can do to make your experience the best it can be. Cheers!

**★★★★★ — Karen Calica, April 2016**

> We are are own general contractors and Accent has greatly helped us build our own home through design plans to construction. Helped select subcontractors

**Comment from Accent CMS Construction Management Services:**

> Thank you Karen. You and Butch have been a pleasure to work with. Really looking forward to the finished project. You two have done a great job and are really working it now.
