> We had water damage inside our house.  We chose Rodebush Construction to repair it for us.  The crew they sent out did a fantastic job!  The workers were very nice, worked extremely efficiently, and were meticulous at cleaning up after themselves.    Our wall needed to be repaired, including resurfacing and painting.  The crew also repainted our ceiling, repaired a piece of ceiling tape, and even changed the lightbulbs for us (our ceilings are 18 feet tall, so changing lightbulbs is challenging).
> We also had the crew from Rodebush take down some ghastly wallpaper in our kitchen.  The guys were very careful, got all the wallpaper off, and repainted that area as well.

**Q: How is chimney sealed?** *(in Photo Questions)*

How did you moisture-proof the chimney opening?

A: There was no chimney. it was set up originally for a vent free log set. they decided against it during the repairs.

**Q: Where can i find the mirrors in this photo?** *(in Photo Questions)*

The mirrors will be placed in the (boys) Jack and Jill bathroom. Need 23x40 in size.

A: We got the actual mirrors from Ark. Glass, and we then made the frames and stained and finished them to match the cabinets we had made.

A: I believe that was a unique version of Venetian Bronze

A: I believe this was a travertine tile, but I do not remember the details on the tile.  Sorry.

A: I believe this was a tumbled marble tile from a local tile supplier named Allison Tile Sales.  I do not remember the exact color or brand.

**Q: Painting off white cabinets- espresso brown or white?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I just purchased a house and am redoing the kitchen.  the cabinets are in great shape, but the color is dated and the current paint job was done poorly.  I am painting the walls light grey with white trim.  It is currently a galley kitchen, but we are knocking down a wall to create an open concept.  I am trying to decide between white cabinets with a white granite/quartzite with grey veins/ undertones or dark cabinets with the same type of counter.  The floors are travertine, but the floors in the rest of the house are reclaimed pine and have a ton of character.  Now that the kitchen will be open to the family room, I don't know what color to do the cabinets or if I can even achieve a nice dark brown on already painted cabinets.  Can someone please help?

A: If you are going with white trim and gray walls the cabinets would look good being white.  However, the white countertops wouldn't necessarily blend well because that would be too much white for most people's preferences.  My advice would be to go with a darker countertop (black quartz, darker granite, stained or natural terrazzo), then use the backsplash to transition color between the rest of room.  As another suggestion, since your are opening some wall spaces I would also recommend removing the fur downs above the cabinets to open the ceiling up and make the Kitchen feel bigger.
