> Our home flooded for the 3rd time in Harvey and we decided to tear down our flooded house and build a new raised home.  After looking at several big box builders and after discovering the lack of flexibility in their pricing system, we found Justin Henry and Zander Homes.  At the beginning of the process Justin finds out what is important to you in your house (ie, wood floors, wood railing or iron, etc).  This  is where you likely want to spend the money and then he works to adjust in other areas based on your budget.  Nothing is subpar in quality.  I was able to get exactly what I wanted!   I have always heard nightmare stories about building a custom home, but I can honestly say the process was streamlined with Zander.  No one that has built a house can say they had no hiccups, but despite weather issues and a few needed adjustments, Zander Homes handled everything perfectly.  We absolutely love our Zander Home! ## Community Q&A

**Q: Spray foam insulation** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi,I'm building a house in Ireland and would like some advise on spray foam insulation.As our climate is very damp I'm worried that the timber would not be able to breath when the foam is around it.Suppliers here say its open cell and is ok for breathing but I'm a little worried.

A: it its tight and will not breath.  you have to make it mechanically breath (fresh air damper) hvac system.  I would also have a humidity control on your thermostat.  We say Build/Seal Tight & ventilate Right.
